I just heard this song in some anime store. Very unexpected...

Just got done watching Pandorum and thinking about Elon musk taking us to other worlds. One day this song will make sense! If it doesn’t already! I’m being cheesy but important things are happening and this song has been a favorite since I was 12 and my dad had played it for me.

Friend, this is a very unique song. Though I am going to jump on your thread in hopes of an answer to your question.

apparently pm5k jacked the chord progression and melody from "one more kiss, dear" from the bladerunner soundtrack.  other than that near as i can tell it's just what would have been contemporary pop in the 50's with some doowop thrown in.  but i haven't found anything that sounds truly comparable.  maybe space age pop or space exotica.

Good quality, too bad the outro words at the beggining and the "subliminal message" at the very end (if you let the record play) are missing, being important to the song itself. Anyways, want to dedicate this to a friend who probably watched the sky for me during a meteor shower.

Those really aren't important to the song though.
They're a nice add-on, especially for the overall album.

However, the song is in the style of the early jazz songs of the 1940s and 1950s. For those of you who study the guitar or music theory in general, you will see (hear) that there are some serious jazz chords and tonalities in this song, which is what makes this song so colorful and unique.

This song isn't sad song. This isn't happy either. In my opinion this is neutral song with something I can't explain. So good song for chilling out and that's why I'm raping the replay button :)
