This is a common case of *You don't know what you got til it's gone.* I've always loved his voice, but there were just so many great artists during the time. I couldn't buy everybody's album. Looking back, I regret not investing in Jesse Powell. Yeah, it's shoulda, woulda, coulda, but man. What a missed opportunity. Now it's too late and he's probably not even thinking about music anymore. I'd love to hear his story and why he decided to quit. Obviously, it didn't work out, but the inside story is what I'm interested in. Tough competition. I'm thinking that they probably wanted him to be like Usher Raymond.

None of these wanna be called artists today can touch this guy. not Drake or Jay Z or any other hip hop R&B lame brain. He's just awesome. It sucks people just stopped giving him attention after his only Top 10# "You" came out, they all kinda just drifted away from him yet he got better with music, his Debut album is perfection, though I would cut off "Spend the Night It's Alright" track with something else smoother. But that album is prefect. His second album launched him to more R&B type of sound, it was more basser and bumpin'. His third album "JP" is pretty great. With him Producing also is amazing. "I Can't Take It" makes me want to dance ever time. It's got ballads like "It'll Take The World" and "You Take My Breath Away" along with "I didn't Realize" and other gems. His final album, "Jesse" is good enough. It's a mixed bag with me, it's not bad. But just a selected few I really love or like from that album, "Ebony" is my all time favorite off the album. "Keep On Lovin'" is a good track. "Touchin' It Tonight" is a good dance track. I got Chris Brown vibes? I don't know why? "By The Way" is also a highlight for me. But I don't really mind the album. I think a fifth album could have been made but then at this point he had switched labels and I guess that was hecktic for him and plus his albums didn't make any charts at all really which sucks. But he is classic.
