Portishead - Seven Months Lyrics
How can I forget you
Disregard how I feel
Silently listen
To the words I can't see
And as low as I can be
I will never resign myself
From the trial I seek
Why should I forgive you
After all that I've seen
Quietly whisper
When my heart wants to scream
For as long as I have tried
I will never resign myself
From the trial I seek
There's no time to rest
Or to reconsider
For this cruel unsaid, won't concede
For as long as I have tried
And as low as I can be
I will never resign myself
From the trial I seek

Bwahaha. Umm...
Okay whoever edited this, why do we have to wait for a minute into the song for a closeup of the vocalist? The violin and the conductor are nice shots. But come on... We want to see the vocalist. I swear the conductor is featured in this every bit as much as Beth is. Not to minimize his contribution... But New York Philharmonic or not, he didn't write the music.
Beth Gibbons brings the fire.
thank you so much portishead for giving hip hop this great song to sample...slick rick and raekwon did this song justice
I love them
But where is the hip hop....
I hear scrarch band drums and her fantastic voice
Hope all will let be who they are !!!
Best female singer in my opinion.

Much respect!
I listen to this and I hear a James Bond theme that never was.
Justa y necesaria!
one of my favorite songs for sure
shes the only singer that sounds as good live as a studio album.
DAMN! MISSED THIS ONE>>>SHAME...
Quelle voix!!!! et une justesse tout simplement parfaite!!! sans parler de l orchestre qui se marie si bien à cette déesse de la musique.... un grand bravo!!!!
that woman...

Absolutely
Wish the RZA would make a few tracks for her to sing on.
RZA is no way near her ability, she is way out of his class. RZA music, like most rappers, is mostly acting, fairy tales, making up stories and lies. He does not have the raw emotion, brokeness and humility to produce music like this. No matter how talented a rapper he always will be
Better yet, she should join public enemy.
no puede existir tanta belleza en una canción, ¡Joderrr!
the violins sound like windows xp booting up
ahahahha i can't 😂😂
hahahaha
😂😂😂 so perfect
Funny comment and noticeable to the laymen... Probably more profound than you think considering it was released in 2001 and this song is late 90s. ' micro soft ' - heh. But in general ' windows' - ' obvious symbolism. ' x p' could mean a multitude of things to diffrent people but most noticeable to the kind of dorks that have been dorkin around with computer games for decades and d&d type book nerds as ' experience''points'. Anyway - I'm about to leave a ' link' to another video, late 80s that TOTALLY has that logo in a ' cats eye' before they released it... ' gates' style. And what a joy it will be for you connecting dots of all kinds of EASILY READABLE stupidity and shit. Sorry, man.

No cualquiera entiende su musica》》》》 Es dark , depresivo y alternativo electronico weve.
I deeply love the violin parts in 1:43 for example, not featured in the 1997 album... <3
Wish they could do a album with some hip hop people like Gang Star, Digable Planets, Wu-Tang Clan, and the Roots.
Lord my mind would explode!
Who the hell dislikes this? :/
Geiner Fallas no one dislike it's impossible
Geiner Fallas They have the right to dislike, this is normal that people have different tastes and opinions and we have to respect that.

I wish that they can do an album with da Roots Band. Also dude on the turntables looks like Tom Brady.
100 more thumbs up than thumbs down
Bond, James Bond :)
What a time machine back to 1998
His name is John Baggott.

As the wonders of beauty become a transcended silver light magic lullaby... Beautiful
agreed but still a great video
J'adore!!! Beth est une sacrée artiste, une voix magnifique!!!
Best song by Portishead
Constructive inspiration is always needed.
Fine performance!
:D*
@c0wboybebop how could she forget you..... disregard she wrote the lyrics.
What a fckn intepretation (regardless that she composed the lyrics)
strangers is my fave song from them
tricky and massive attack are good but portishead got more bangers than them.
this version is definitely better than the album version. that beat haunting beat and beths beautiful voice a match made in heaven. you can hear the hip hop in this song
absolutely love it, scratchinggets a bit annoying though, is in a lot of their songs.
dat riff
Man, and I thought the album version was sinister...
@royalnaz1 So Fuc*ing true!!!!!!!!
you got to like portishead. They are the originators of there own sound.
@klancrew
That's DJ Andy Smith

@thezerosystem Make that 8. Really?
ps q music para mas buena UNA DE LAS mejores podria decir yo..viva lacrimosa...
OMG...... THEY ARE SYMBOLS OF PURE PERFECTION
I LOVE PORTISHEAD!!!!! <3
One of my favorites!
This actually sounds better than the album, IMO. Freakin' awesome.
WOW! Never heard this 1! Her voice.....ooofffffffff wow! AND wit an orchestra behind it...!!!!!
@Ktmzqw lmao at your understanding of "Thrid" being 'too much.' That album had no flow, just mechanical beats, which, when done right, can be very good. Unfortunately for Portishead, mechanical music isn't their forte. The splash from the turd coming out of my anus and hitting the water makes a more interesting abstract sound than Portishead's "Third." That's fine, though... you keep on thinking your small brain is deep for liking it. Ciao, fag
fuck yea
Beth is SEXY.
@royalnash There are actually four albums, if you include this live concert CD
@royalnash nah, just the first two. The third one was crap
you know...just perfect!
:D
holy... i was taken aback at first not only is she very talented, her voice is so regal and powerful sounding..
Ive had this DVD for close to 10 years and love it as much now as I did back then. I love it when a group plays a live show and the music is many times better live than on the album. Plus its a little more gritty in the delivery. It was an excellent performance and I bet the crowd can still remember it to this day as one of the best shows theyve seen.
1:12 Buzz Lightyear :D
Nothing much better
I wish I had her voice! It hypnotizes me and makes me come back for more...
lol it's okay I did the same exact thing the other day
furvert101 - i was kind of agreeing with you not so much directing my comment torwards you.
Yeah dude Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky are the original Trip Hoppers from Bristol.
Think Smith and Mighty have contributed a lot and the sound is being progressed forward by
new act AllFlaws
anyone see the connection between beth gibbons and the singer of jefferson air plane?
agreed. portishead is a very powerful band. you need powerful speakers to play them or you'll break your cheap ones trying. esp considering this recording was done with an entire orchestra.. you need to put more money in to your sound system buddy.
Incredible performance!!.
i love this
i love you beth gibbons!!!!
I SOOOOO wish I could've been at this show...this is a slice of REAL music.
Portishead rules
Great vid, very poor audio
I have this concert is so good...
True!! and agree with ya, Tricky have some background from portishead alredy, Massive attack made sth with them too! But with Bjork and Miss Tori Amos, would be sth amaizing!!
Read you history and you will find out..
tooo cool.
cheers bud i found out. Dirge by Death in vegas - great tune!
it would be great if Portishead collaborated and did something MORE in that style with Tricky Bjork Tori Amos
yo man, the only other place ive heard that sample on was mushroom jazz 3 by mark farina on a song called "collage" by urban backcountry. lemme know if thats it
the aura, the chemical of this song is so strong
hey there portishead fans.
