Porcupine Tree - Radioactive Toy Lyrics
[Written by Steven Wilson]
Run through forests on a hot Summer day
Trying to break down walls of numbing pain
Give me radioactive toy
Taste the water from a stream of running death
Eat the apple and cough a dying breath
Feel the sun burning through your black skin
Pour me into a hole, inform my next of kin
Run through graveyards on a dusty Winter day
Spit the dirt out and try to say...

Possibly one of the greatest rock songs ever....these guys were amazing.
Thank you for uploading! ❤️
This is perfect
Porcupine Tree is plague among progressive rock genres, a plague that wont take your life but your soul to a place that you are scared of coming back. All my memories can be pulled out of my brain and played alongside.
💐✨💜✨💐
This is divine art!
I simply love it...... !!!!
!!!!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!!!
Out On Blue 6, ...shirley? Mark Radcliffe. Get well dude.
I discovered them over 20 years ago and rediscovered my love for this song just now. They're the spiritual successors to Floyd.
Supernort ? “Spiritual successors” is such a fantastic way to put it.
One of the songs that helped to bring Progressive Rock - now Prog - back from the dead! Thank you, Steven!
Enjoy...

QUE GRANDE SOM ! ABSOLUTAMENTE INCRIVEL !
Amazing song !
Glad I got to see them before they broke up they were amazing
If you're a slider should mix it with dark side of the moon it fits perfectly
Saw this song done at The Warfield in San Francisco so f****** bad ass
BRILLIANT TRACK .....
Musica nell' anima
the wall influences
I don't think so, at least not all from the wall. You Can hear here clear reminiscences from the dark side of the Moon (us and them)and echoes from meddle. But the cool thing about Steven here is that you don't have an imitation of Pink Floyd, but a sort of tribute mixed with his own style/touch and something else.
Do you like Progressive music like yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Emerson lake and Palmer, Alan Parsons, Stephen Wilson, Spock's beard, Dave kerzner. Big big train and porcupine tree.
Well we do too! We also love to turn people on to new and upcoming artists. If you love prog then you came to the right place.
Please check out The Monsters of Prog. We would love to see you there.

Things to do in life:
1) make love to this song at least once
2) repeat
Idil Yaktubay, best comment on a Porcupine Tree Song
@karamjot singh the whole album works just as well
sure let's do it
Maybe I'll try it. But what should I do in the 7 remaining minutes?
An absolute classic song one of PT’s very best never tire of this brilliance!!!!
Trying to break down walls of numbing pain
Lovely Porcupine
😎🙇
Tremendo,en la misma línea de Pink Floyd. Steven Wilson es genial.
the only good song of this "Steven Wilson" album
I disagree. Jupiter Island is also kinda dope. A very special kind of dope.
Every Porcupine Tree album is completely a different journey. I didn't like Coma Divine at first, then one rainy night alone in my car, it blew my brains.
False. Listen to Nine Cats.
BEST song to fuck to !
i love this song remember me a dear friend, that past away and he love this beautiful song ♥
best porcupine tree song.
great song
un clásico de Porcupine Tree
Es otro mundo..Inspiración pura..Sensibilidad en su máxima expresión!!
FANTASTIC
Saw them 6 years ago fuckingawesomeamazing
FANTASTIC MUSIC !!!
es como escuchar a Pink Floyd espectacular yo tengo el compilatorio y me parece espectacular me encanto
love it!
vraiment tres tres bon
the betles 5 38 i want you
6:31 is such a natural progression for the song, but still blindsides you with its sheer haunting beauty.
Porcupine Tree isn't a band, they are a fucking experience. Once that everyone should take. It improves lives.
Still waiting on that Porcupine Tree discography review lol
Kyle, do buy it. I feel its an underappreciated piece of music. Their most spacey if not psychedelic sounding album.
coverkillernation spot on bro
Progressive rock and metal are one of the difficult one.. I asked my friend he is a black metal and death metal band he tells for singing opeth song I need six weeks of practice in 24/7. Opeth is also similar to porcupine tree but it's death metal often known as pink floyd of death metal
a bit like certain fungi
Hey! Do u people want me to make some cool Porcupine Tree mix? Here it goes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY8xLK2hLLc
Enjoy!
Is this a good song to start playing the drums on (I've been playing for about 2 hours).
i'm not a drum player, but i think this isn't much hard, this drum you hear are made with some drum machine and wasn't real, but made on pc with a keyboard,so i think for simplify all the ritm isn t much hard. Sorry for the bad english :S
+DarkQwerzar It has tons of alternate kick patterns that you have to learn and different snare patterns, but, other than that, it's pretty easy. I got it down after about 10 hours.
Good job!Really nice that Porcupine Tree's music is interested by musicians, i'm a pianist and i can't really find much of porcupine tree piano cover or sheets :(
@DarkQwerzar I know, they're so obscure! Here's a song I found:
https://musescore.com/user/38213/scores/62724
By the way, I'm not perfect at the song yet, I just know how to play it.
I love this song. It is so unpredictable and so enchanting.
I love the whole song but 5:29 is so awesome
Indeed !
Brilliant. The lyrics are really aggressive and the music is soft and gentle with more than a touch of Focus's Hamburger Concerto!
THIS SOLOOO <3 <3
Wow.....Awesome track...
Metro 2033 ;)
Bartłomiej Fryźlewicz is this song in metro?

Porcupine Tree ..... Radioactive Toy------!!!!!
Holy shit, im watching this while im high and im hearing sounds that i never heard on other listens. This is amazing.
@Internët Is a fact that when you're high you can listen the sounds better
Internët what did you take I love It in opioum and oxycodone, morphine I don't like it now I am on psychedelic lsd plus DMT formula
time flies...
1st song i heard by these guys was (Glass Arm Shattering) pretty much every song i hear by them i like. great band i'm glad i found them
Porcupine Tree wasn't even a BAND yet
you're right. this was just Steven all by himself in his parents basement.
@Tim G Next to his parents bedroom apparently.
Tim G , this was rerecorded the original version appears on 1994" s Yellow hedgerow landscape
*dreamscape
Possibly the first great song PT ever produced?
@Captain Power In case you didn't know, this was Porcupine Tree's FIRST album. Steven Wilson and the musicians who would join later would create many masterpieces, but I regard this song as the first real gem the group produced. How does that make me either "stupid" or "mad?"
@Captain Power Nice comeback!
Thats right.
ProgressiveRock1970s Technically, their first album was Tarquin's Seaweed Farm.
This, and also Nine Cats.
edit: I just had those tracks in mind from the compilation. Radioactive Toy was, of course, recorded and released (on the first demo tape) earlier than Nine Cats. These two are the outstanding tracks of the On the Sunday of Life album, anyway.
Wonderful song, personal favorite on the CD, you can hear the floyd feel in there.....
komatara..........the best
PT is the best band ever !!!
Sorry, but after Pink Floyd. 2nd best ever band
