0:00 - 1:48 ... waste of time... 1:48 - 5:36 PURE ART, one of the best parts ever written. 5:37 - 6:12 waste of time... in my opinion. I don't get it.

It's ambient! mofo! It adds a sense of depth. If you don't like it!? Well ambience and texture is a big part of SW's musical identity. To me it paints for my inner eye. Of shadows and dim lights and little candles in the distance. Perhaps a TV running somewhere far away. Its clearly influenced by those little sounds that you can hear all around you in this day and age. You need some imagination to enjoy ambient.

@Jagnes Leblanc Hi! of course i do understand the meaning of atmospheric. That's why i like bands like PT, Riverside and Lunatic Soul in the first place. SW and Mariusz Duda are masters in atmosphere. But for me the atmosphere and the beautiful world starts at 1:48 and stops at 5:36... that's all.

Porcupine Tree are obviously a hugely talented band! but I have been listening to their music with new knowledge about the Illuminati, I didn't really know what they were singing about before, but now it is so clear- the New World Order, Lucifer etc... it's the same with almost every band I know, especially Heavy Metal (less metaphorical).  I thought the negative evil lyrics were just for effect, but to realise that politicians and high up business people etc... are Freemasons who worship Lucifer and perform Satanic rituals where they sacrifice people is just too mind blowing to think about.  I cannot enjoy listening anymore :(

I'd even say I preferred the Maitland era of Porcupine Tree. Gavin's drumming attempts to jump out too much in recent PT, while Maitland's drumming just compliments the music, one silky river flow.

@Kneipp Kind off annoying. I also recognize the Bass Communion track it was taken from called "heartbeat". Maybe that noise was an unlucky side effect of the recycling?
