I feel you did a great job on this video!!! I thought a pro did it---it went totally with the awesome song that Point of Grace does so well. Sometimes God puts it right in your lap and WOW!

The message of this song played a major role in me coming to Jesus. My mom gave me an analogy of a deep hole between us and God the father, and Jesus is the bridge to get across the hole. Up until that moment I assumed I was a Christian, but then the veil was torn and I realized that I wasn't. My mom mentioned something about a prayer to pray, and I said that I would like to say that prayer. My mom was overjoyed and told me to repeat after her, and I prayed the sinners prayer. My mom was crying tears of joy after that and told me we would celebrate, and after that I knew for sure I was a Christian and I started telling everyone that I was a Christian. That was 16 years ago now, but I still remember that very vividly. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross, and bridging the great divide. :')

I love this song. I was a teenager in the 90's when it was popular. I remember our pastor's daughter (who had an amazing voice) singing this on a Sunday morning. I love the illustration this gives. I currently teach 5th grade in a Christian school, and while teaching the verse John 14:6 (Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.), I drew this as an illustration on the chalkboard, with two cliffs, one side us, the other side God. Then I made a cross that bridged the "great divide". Jesus made the only way.

Yes: Nobody Loves Me Like You Do... A love song she sang with Jermaine Jackson. She had a beautiful voice. The title of that song is kind of ironic in a way, though, because nobody loves us like God does.

I honored this song by Point of Grace in my 5th LOG, a 20 page letter that will never see the light of day. But I don't care about that anymore because I can honor them right here with a public compliment--your song "The Great Divide" has already brought millions of people to Christ. I have a lot on my mind and do not want to question my decisions in the coming month's and I seek inspiration in the scripture and the music that I have craved since I was a toddler. I find the words very powerful in a lot of songs and hymns.

Point Of Grace is my favorite gospel group I met them in Taylors South Carolina last night they had my aunt that is eat up with cancer on their prayer list on the screen. Denise is an amazing person Jason Crabb anointed me with oil for my aunts healing and the girls from P.O.G. and Natasha Owens hugged me and all at once prayed for peace and comfort for my family

You might be interested to know that my son, Grant Cunningham, wrote the lyrics for "The Great Divide."  Thanks to a beautiful rendition by Point of Grace, the song won a Dove award in 1997.  We lost Grant in July of 2002 after he suffered a fatal brain injury while playing in a soccer game.  He was 37 at the time and A&R Director at Sparrow Records.  Paul Cunningham

praying for you, Xzamilloh. Jesus took your sins and mine on himself as the perfect, unblemished sacrifice. Our only chance to find favor with His father, Yahweh. Its a much bigger decision than any human can comprehend to deny God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Read the Bible once and ask yourself why on every single occasion when an "atheist" set out to disprove the Bible... Every one of them ended up giving their lives to Jesus. Please don't condemn yourself when you clearly haven't gotten all of the facts.

I once was an athiest after being raised in church my whole life, and not feeling God. I became determined in studying the paranormal, and finding something spiritual that was tangible. Well i wound up getting into esoteric practices, and satanism. What i went through is not necessary to experience God, and his son Jesus. I went from not believing in anything, to KNOWING that things exist. I got into the occult as a skeptic, and got alot more than i bargained for. Personally it took actually seeing that magic, sorcery etc exists and has very real tangible affects. When i came face to face with a demon for the first time, then was filled with panic in every cell of my body, nausea, and a feeling worse than dying or knowing you were about to die i became a believer in the things i had heard about all my life. It took me until recently to get baptized and commit to God that I wanted to change. I don't know if you will ever read this, but just know i was where you are at one point. Trust me you don't want to go down the same road i did just to realize something that is so obvious to me now which is the existence of God. Man the things that i went through due to knowingly inviting evil into my life would sound made up if i went through it all due to the extreme nature of the consequences. Basically i went through 3 1/2 years of strange severe medical issues. My whole body was burned from head to toe in a super rare allergic reaction that lasted 8 or 9 months, surgery, was declared dead, but brought back 2 times. I had aspiration pneumonia 3 times before i realized i had it the first time i walked around a lil over a week seeing stars feeling like i was about to faint, and i thought it was the effects of medication i was taking at the time. When i got to the hospital the doctor was shocked, and told me he had no explanation for me being able to talk let alone living. I had 75% oxygen, and he said i should have been a vegetable yet Its not had an effect on my thinking. I had been throwing up stomach acid and other stuff into my lungs for over a week. Mind you this happened 2 more times, and had 2 more stays in the ICU. I totaled 3 cars in 2 years. I mean totaled completely not a fender bender I did not have a seat-belt on in any of those instances i walked away without a scratch, and nobody else was injured each time. I could go on for days, I dont say these things to brag I say them to bring Glory to God. So much stuff has happened to me at this point that it would be impossible for me to lie to myself, and say there is no God. You posted this comment 3 yrs ago so i hope that you have found him at this point. If you do read this just know i was in the same mindset about the Creator for years. It took serious hardships, and demonic presence in my life to knock some sense into me. God allowed me to touch the fire so i would see it was real fire, and that it would burn me. I hope, and pray you don't have to experience demons, chronic health conditions, sleep paralysis or anything of the like to believe. I'll be praying for you. God is real, and his son Jesus was a sacrifice for humanities sins. Tell me this if Jesus is not lord why does hollywood, and our media spend so much time mocking him, and slandering his name? Yet all other religions get a free pass! Jesus is universally despised by our leaders, and those in entertainment industry etc. I promise that if you can bring yourself to have even a microscopic amount of faith, and are open to a relationship with your creator all it will take for you to begin to see him working in your life is to pray. Pray and tell him how you feel about him, and tell him your worries. Pray for others in Jesus name to be healed or that their problems are solved. I guarantee that if you don't pray to God in a selfish me me me type of way and pray for specific resolutions to problems other people may have you will see God working before your eyes. The most High hears every idle thought you have, he knows you better than yourself, he knows your fear, your aspirations an your needs. All he wants is to see that you trust him by asking him yourself for help. There will be a point in your life that something happens, and you can no longer continue to believe God doesn't exist. The circumstances in which that happens doesn't have to be grim like mine were. Just take a chance, and read the bible the King James version. I even will pray sometimes if i don't know where to read that God can show me what i need to hear, and open to a random page 9 times out of 10 when i do that i find the answer to the specific problem I'm dealing with. Just give him a chance. God bless you

I think you did a great job, can't believe it's your first video! You had beautiful, relevant pictures and cool effects. Some videos just play the song with only one picture the whole time. Personally I haven't a clue how to even make a video, so even the one picture kind is advanced for me!

This is one awesome song. It says so much. My sis and I formed a quartet of ladies because we were having a Christian awareness concert. The Great Divide was one of them. I believe this particular song out of the 6 we sang drew more people, and brought many to Christ that night. God is so good and so gracious. It was so wonderful. We could not stop crying because our hearts were so touched. Praise God, Amen???
