i did not enjoy them as much - i saw a couple of shows from tour with joe strummer-maybe late 80s-shane had some airport/immigratation 'issues' - I love shane but joe was fantastic, so i agree that shane is not essential at least in the shows, but as a song writer he is el capo. i kind of got burned out on spider halfway through the show -maybe they were having an off night, but possible it was ME who was having an off night.
