Chorus sounds a bit too much like Anouk - Nobody's wife. Actually the bridge also sounds like Adam Lambert - What do you want from me.

I'm sorry, and I love Poets of The Fall to death, but this album is soft as shit. Where did the hard driven sound go from their earlier stuff? Even the previous album had some hard stuff on it.

Agree. This is my least favourite album so far. It does have some quite nice songs but in general it's a bit... meh.

Yeah, for sure. My favourite song on Ultraviolet is Fool's Paradise. But that's only partly because its the only fast paced song on the album, everything else is too soft/slow or both.

I feel like every lyric in this song is a reference to a previous PoTF song. Am I crazy? "Spendthrift clown" could be referencing More and Carnival of Rust, "Just get up" - Lift, "Never mind" - Clevermind, "even if you burn" - Fire, "gonna be so much better" - Tomorrow is a Better Day, "Shining through" - Change, "my hopes and dreams" - Illusion and Dreams, "my anxieties" - King of Fools, "there is peace" - War, "Hallucination" - Smoke and Mirrors, "Through all these dawns" - Dawn, "finally holding you" - Skin, and of course the obvious "Late goodbye". And it has a very Everything Fades feel and the melody reminds you of Rewind and Roses...

those are very good theories, and knowing PoTF, they love to reference their older work. Look at Children of the Sun with "I'll be singing you songs of tomorrow, then Dawn will follow" referencing both tracks and how they follow each other on the album. I lOVE this stuff. Much respect every time they do it.

This is so great, such a return to form but it shows everything they've learned and how they've grown. This new album is really a treat.
