Poets Of The Fall - Sorry Go 'Round Lyrics

The devil may smile with an angels face
A cat may be stolen of its grace
They say it's just a matter of time and place

A man may be less than an animal
The antichrist write up the honor roll
The tightrope walker take the final fall
(at his house, in the bathroom, on a holiday, and that's in the news)

Oh, the things you see
Makes ignorance bliss for you and me, yeah,
When arrogance does publicity,
Smiling happily

It's a merry go round and around and around

The begging boy becomes the begging man
The zealot never saves the sacrificial lamb
And a child want's to know if the Candyman can

Everybody want's the fancy car
And we've all been told not to run too far
But everybody wants to be a rock'n'roll star

Oh, the things you see
Makes arrogance seem the way to be, yeah,
When ignorance spreads conformity,
Smiling happily

It's a merry go round and around and around

    Also 1st!! Alan Wake everyone!!!

I only wish he said Sorry in chorus

    S.... o....

That isn't always necessary for a song or a poem... And here we have both! 😄

    S.... o....

I think it's better this way.
In a lot of literature, poetry and such the title delivers an important clue as to how the work can be interpreted or emphasizes the message, saying Sorry go round every time in the Chorus would be a bit too ham-fisted in my opinion. More in line with typically more superficial pop music than with POTF.
What could have been cool, though, would be to replace the very last "merry go round" with "sorry go round", as a bit of a last low note to drive home the point (ie: there's absolutely nothing merry about this kind of society and media sensationalism). Any more than that would have been very out of character for POTF who tend to approach lyrics like a poem and often use figures of speech, common expressions, metaphors and such to tell their ideas and forcing the listener to think about it for a bit before understanding the full meaning behind it.
