People who turn to pink floyd to learn philosophy should check out The Poets for the real deal. I haven’t seen a single band TILL DATE who write such philosophical and thought provoking lyrics that constantly keeps the dopamine firing in our brains for the multiple interpretations one can come up with.
This song talks about the concept of Maya and what ever you see seeping you is just a dream. Life is just a ride and nothing more. This song is a true ‘sign of life’. And what a way to have it ordered right before you go and “sleep”, to wake up to a new morning, a new life.

Lena's Dreams seems to me like the fantasy would you are referring to is vedhic India. The culture called Hinduism that brought the world Buddhism, yoga, Ayurveda etc. Marko practices yoga and also is an acupuncture expert. 🙂 I’m not a potter head, I brought that up as an example to enhance my point. 🙂

Anyway, let me tell you my take on the Twilight Theatre (as of now)
The album cover shows you a show. If you read ancient philosophy, you'll know that this life is all an illusion and we are all living in God's head. This is God's dream.
The twilight theatre, to me, is written be a person who has been through the theatre and come out with stories of warning to tell you. It is this medium where you want to project your ego, fooling yourself to think its actually you. The curtains open and you start to dance, sing, draw, whatever to win the approval of the audience. This concept can be applied even to work, a job, obsession with taking selfies and posting it on instagram, etc, etc, All, to call the attention of outsiders. The Twilight Theatre to me is this stage act and we want fame. It starts out with you Dreaming Wide Awake and selling your soul just to make the dream happen. It's all a lie and you are the bait. After that you are at a War. No on is wearing their real face and they've shed every value their mothers thought them cuz right now we want fame, money and power. Whatever it takes to gratify the ego and to feel a sense of accomplishment. Your deep in it and then slowly you realise that you've made a mistake. You realise that happiness isn't where money or fame is. You think about the unpopular people out there that actually have families to go to, To children that love them, while you are traveling and touring to make other people happy. You realise that this isn't what you want. There is a slight "Change" that comes about. You wonder if other people dream of the world like you do! With your changed mindset you get on stage just for "15Minutes of Fame". A name that will last for all eternity, like Michael Jackson. Someone who made everyone happy and finally died sad. You realise even more that this isn't what you want. But it's too late. Your in to deep and you don't know your way out. You're "given and denied". You want to know where your fountain of youth is. You search but you can find it since times doesn't "Rewind". You want to go back but can't. You want to fall like a leaf in the wind on the ocean of blue, In the twilight theater that you are stared at. You are playing symphonies in the world without sound. You realise more strongly that this fame is all just an illusion. It's one man's absolute and another's choice. Your sick of it. You want to "rewind" and do better. You want to light up the dark since you were blinded by the illusion. You start taking drugs and what not just to help your body cope. Your killing yourself, but the worst part is, you know it. You realise that you are "Dying to live". You tell others that this life isn't as magical as it seems to be. You tell them that you've lived that life of make believe. But no matter what, “you’re still here”, stuck. You know that you can’t escape, cuz you sold your soul when you were dreaming wide awake. You realise this is all a lie. You know that it’s all “smoke and mirrors”, especially when you become more famous and end up being “bite size bits on YouTube”. You question things like “do we even know who we are? Who died and made us stars?”.Your stuck and broken and you need someone to “heal your wounds” because “you're here right now, and this is your show, so take a bow, cos the show is on right here and now.”
The bigger the lies, The more they want to believe them. That’s how you are stuck by the glamour of the twilight theatre…
Later, you realise that you’re “running out of time”. You ultimately become a psycho singing “the happy song” and come to the conclusion that you are just a jealous God. But, you learn that “nothing stays the same”. You get a “clear view” and look around, observing the Drama for life, until you are finally moonlight kissed, waiting for the great poets to release their new book… but they did. And turns out that the problem all along is that we were bowing down to false kings. 🙂
