Poets Of The Fall - Hounds To Hamartia Lyrics

A single kiss for your treasure
There just left at your door
Life has shown you no pleasure before

Double cross for a symbol
Name your rosary beads
You will nurture the fable till it bleeds
Bleeds for your love

No more tragic love for sale in the crooked gallery
High on acid love gone stale seems like fantasy
Just like magic Hubris leads, leads its hounds, hounds to Hamartia

What you eclipse makes your measure
What you leave reaches for you in your stead
Taking flaws for a gamble to get ahead

No remorse for the trouble spread
In the revolution

No more tragic love for sale…

Hit or miss you'll be playing
Paying your dues cos you need the game all the same
Fame draws you like fireflies to the flame
Play all on red

No more tragic love for sale…

This is what I think can be heard at the end of the part during the static. (During 4:41 through 4:55) and I think I got it right but it doesn't sound right. Also as a helpful hint, turn up the volume to where it's a bit too loud and wear headphones.

Hounds to Hamartia was actually the first version of "Late Goodbye" and is simply half the version of the song, of course, uh mm, the "Late Goodbye" that we did release actually the second version of the song.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kinda odd the way they mention this? Also, it's kinda hard to imagine that this could have been "Late Goodbye", considering how different the sound is from "Signs of Life" compared to "Jealous Gods"

Marko said there was three songs he wrote for the game and that they just liked Late Goodbye over the other two so maybe he thought is was time to tie it together

@anime_girl_ 34 Three versions of Late Goodbye, not three songs. LG was based on a poem by Sam Lake after all.

Kinda funny also that their song Signs of Life didn't make that album

@Fucking Loser SoL wasn't made for the album of the same name. It was made as a callback reference, a reminder after The Happy Song that the signs of life are still there.
