Poco - Sittin' On A Fence Lyrics

What is it gonna be?
When the dust has settled
Will you clearly see
Down the road you're
Driftin; lost and caught in confusion

Waitin' for the day
You won't have to choose
Who can have their way
Without taking sides or
Goin', feelin' so bad

C'mon and take a stand
'Cause you're sure to fall
Sittin' on a fence
Don't you sit on a fence

Where should you begin?
Lookin' for an answer
How can you give in
When worry has you
Wishin', hopin', sayin' you don't know

Now it's up to you
Stand on what you feel or
Fall if you should lose
Nothin's ever certain
To last, in the long run

I was acquainted with Paul's son, Mike Cotton. Mike and I lived next door to each other when he was still a kid. He had drum kit in his house and one day I was over visiting with Mike, and he was playing the drums to this song. I wonder what ever happened to Mike.

I love Paul Cottons guitar playing. Poco was great. Better than the Eagles IMO.

You know, I think the Head over Heels album was probably their best - it all seemed to work perfectly. The other albums are all worth a listen (I bought at least ten)

It's great to see more Poco up here! They are one of my favorite all-time bands--especially 1969 to 1977!!! Thanks for posting, BobbyK
