Poco - Music From The Spheres Lyrics

Now the morning star is here to greet us
For so many thousand years he's been away
But I won't be afraid.

(I won't, I won't, I won't be afraid).

Music from the spheres assails my ears
I hear a distant song, a mellow wave
That grows and breaks across the universe.

Music from the spheres to take my mind away
As it flows throughout the years.

All around the world the people trembled
'God save us from the Devil' - was their prayer
But I can't be afraid.

(I won't, I won't, I won't be afraid).

Music from the spheres assails my ears
Instils a season's song, a moving hymn
That grows and breaks across the universe.

Music from the spheres to take my mind away
As it flows throughout the years.

I always come back to appreciate this, and think about how Destiny could have been so much more, how it could have been one of the best games of all for generations.

But here we are, love it, but hate it

Music of the Spheres was also the title chosen for the musical foundation of the video-game Destiny, and was composed by Martin O'Donnell, Michael Salvatori, and Paul McCartney.

  4. N.... ....

Just imagine the original story with this soundtrack

  5. p.... ....

You know your music is special when it can bring a tear to my eye in 12 sec 17:38 to 17:50

  6. C.... ?....

I wonder if hope for the future was supposed to be for the original credits

  7. D.... ....

oh the hopes and dreams of what destiny was, especially during the ODST days with that poster. Me and my friends would talk for hours about what it was or meant!

After Joe Staten left amd marty fired, we all shouldve known the game was self destructing thanks to the higherups, those shitheads. This game couldve been literally bigger than Halo ever was. Now all we do is say "wow Halo was so much better...how is THIS our Destiny?!"

RIP to the old Bungie, to the old guard see you starside.

  8. m.... b....

and for some reason...people will still hate(thumbs down) on such a masterpiece

  9. m.... m....

This music makes me cry genuine tears of happiness, for a game that got me through the worst days and some of my best nights. All those friends I used to play with, now so busy with life. No time for D2, because it’s just not the same. I miss you D1. I miss the old days.

  10. M.... D....

The Union is the best in my opinion

  11. V.... ....

Well, this is what Siri said she listens to

    V.... ....

Wait, really? I thought that was just a joke.

  12. E.... ....

    100k visuals yay!

  13. T.... G....

Isn't the name of this song a reference to Groth in the Lovecraft mythos?

    T.... G....

Not really. The Music of the Spheres as a concept is an intersection between music, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy. Pythagoras was amongst the first to explore this idea of cosmic harmony between the celestial bodies.

  14. O.... A....

Hey there. Lots of views and comments here! I did want to leave a few comments on the original leak with some mistakes I made. First, the subtitle for The Hope is NOT "Arrival." I was trying to condense the phrase "The Traveler arrives to Earth" into a single word and that was the word I chose in that moment. To be honest, I regret that subtitle more than I regret Bungie almost suing me over this. It should be "The Hope (Traveler/Earth)" if you really want to follow the whole subtitles thing.

Second, you guys probably don't know this, but Music of the Spheres had a set of poems written for it that were going to be included in the CD release Marty wanted to do. You can read more about that here - https://malcolmguite.wordpress.com/2019/02/23/the-music-of-the-spheres-a-poetic-adventure-resumes/

Third, since I deleted the Reddit post in your description (and my entire OS_Epsilon reddit account), I'd suggest linking here instead - https://www.destinypedia.com/Music_of_the_Spheres

Last, you guys may be interested to know that Marty made a series of YouTube videos where he shows off 45 minutes worth of audio of the making of this album. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3YogVGYncwBKDF29-6w1dDIXSCHeIamP

When i hear this, i wish i had seen the true vision they had for destiny, before they changed everthing up for Activision. This music tells a hole different story. I get the feeling, i would have loved it.

    c.... j....

Yeah me too. Such a shame!

  16. W.... B....

here are some of the great singers on this amazing composition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Voices and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libera_(choir)

  17. W.... B....

Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori are the true heroes of Destiny. The music is magnificent. His composing partner and friend, Michael Salvatore, has remained at Bungie to continue their amazing work. Many thanks to them both.

The Unified Spacememory Network from cosmogensis to consciousness

Haramein, N., Brown W. & Val Baker, A. K. F. (2016). The Unified Spacememory Network: from Cosmogenesis to Consciousness, Journal of NeuroQuantology

The recent developments of advanced models of unified physics have brought a deeper understanding of the fundamental nature of space, time, energy and matter. It is becoming apparent that information and geometry are primary to explaining these fundamental agents. In previous work, we demonstrated that the subatomic nucleon structure of the proton and recently the electron can be derived directly from a spacetime holographic structure of Planck-scale quantum vacuum oscillators fluctuating as spacetime pixels, demonstrating that spacetime at the very fine level of the Planck-scale is discrete with information quanta. We have found that when considering the granular spacetime information-energy structure from which we demonstrate matter and mass arises, the phenomena of self-organizing systems that leads to self-awareness and consciousness is integral to— and a natural emergent property of the feedback-dynamics of spacetime information itself. In this work, we describe how the integral function of the information feedback dynamics of spacetime, which engender mass-energy, is the missing element in understanding the evolution and development of self-organizing physical systems in general, and the emergence of the biological organism in particular. We evaluate non-classical quantum mechanical phenomena of physical and biological systems in light of the Maldacena-Susskind holographic correspondence theorem from which an equivalence of wormhole spacetime geometry and quantum entanglement is derived. We suggest that the Planck-scale micro-wormhole entanglement structure of multiple spacetime coordinates engender the macromolecular assemblies of living cells, and that this wormhole entanglement may function in the memory and learning capacity of the biological entity. Furthermore, the recursive information encoding feedback processes of the quantum spacetime micro-wormhole network, which we refer to as spacememory, enables memory and learning in physical systems across all scales, resulting in universal evolutionary tendencies towards higher levels of ordering and complexity – foundational to evolution, sentience, and awareness. *

Simply stated lovevolution, spread the word! Thank you.

Anyone else watched this during the hour before Shadowkeep?

  20. m.... ....

This is what’s missing from destiny 2, the music. When I played it for the first time there was something missing and now after listening it clicked. The music. Without O’Donnell at the helm as the lead composer the music never felt the same

    m.... ....

Forsaken had wonderful tracks. The Dreaming City suite was really enjoyable to listen to, but I do agree that it doesn't feel as profound and intense as this.

    m.... ....

@Screencapped and Emailed to my lawyer Yeah the Forsaken tracks Are epic and overall amazing. But something just sounds better about This track. It's just really really fucking good.

  43. E.... ....

Welp. Destiny 3 is our absolute last chance here to get what Bungie always wanted out of this series upon its first stages. It kinda made me sad that they plan on releasing it next year because that implies they didnt use all the time they have available to them now (which is as much as they would like since they are no longer with Activision). Maybe, just maybe, they got it right. Maybe we can finally fly our ships. Maybe we can have true faction wars. Maybe the dark and light are what will bring us at odds with one another. Maybe the story will be something that made Destiny 1 and 2 worth sitting through. God, PLEASE just express yourselves the right way this time Bungie. We all know you have a beautiful imagination when you use it and some of the best artists in the industry. Heres to hoping. Cheers everyone, and see you starside.

  44. N.... a....

Destiny 2 music feels like a mcdonalds hamburger. It's not very creative but it got tones that everyone generally likes.
Destiny 1 music feels like an asian cousine. It's weird, but once you get used to it you appreciate how powerful the spices are.

Forsaken had some improvements but still i feel like they need to explore more. It's like there's no creative process.

  45. F.... M....

I love this it brings me nostalgia I want it and destiny to come back it I don't know I love d1 the way it is (well was all of my friends are playing d2 now so it's kinda boring) I'm scared that if our current destiny changed a bit it wouldn't have been as nostalgic to me maybe a kind of butterfly effect and I wouldn't have met my (used to be oh so called best friend) friend and maybe I wouldn't have played destiny if this was the soundtrack as nice it is I like our techno rave music

  46. T.... ....

Well all these tracks just gave me my dose of nostalgia for one day

  47. D.... ....

I came here looking for the song to awaken Cthulhu...

    D.... ....

Instead you found a song to awaken a Legend.

  48. Z.... ....

i'll never forget the music till my life's end..❤️💘

  49. J.... R....

Siri told me she liked listening to this 🙂

  50. T.... ....

Imagine Destiny 3 starts with the city utterly falling against the darkness in slow motion with 1:35 as the music while it happens :O

    T.... ....

Nah, they already brought the city to it's knees once already in- game. They would be wise not to do it again.

  51. M.... K....

What a masterpiece. I love these games.

  52. f.... ....

    "Become Legend"

    f.... ....

    Hmm? Who summoned me?

  53. b.... ....

Holy jesus. The last song is in that Lost Sector on the Tangled Shore, near Spider. And here I was thinking MotS wasn't in D2.

  54. B.... C....

So does anyone else know the lovecraftian reference here?
The lovecraftian Monster "Ghroth" plays this song (Music of the Spheres) drifting around the cosmos until a dormant old god hears his song and awakens.
When the old god is awakened it will almost always result in the destruction of all life or the inhalation of the planet.

    B.... C....

    Annihilation*

  55. H.... H....

Why are people saying “this is what destiny could have been” even though this is just music, most of which is in game

    H.... H....

Because it’s a remnant of the original vision for Destiny before it got reworked

  58. A.... B....

YouTube was the last place I expected to find copyrighted content that had been banned everywhere else. Yet, there it is.

  59. A.... B....

Thank you so much. I was looking for it everywhere and I finally found it here.

Such a shame and waste that this music was kept hidden from everybody. Not only this is a fantastic game ost but goddam good music independently.

I understand now why Marty O'Donnell wanted to release it apart from the game, it's not just an ego thing, it's music that deserve its own spotlight.

  60. M.... K....

When I listen to this I can feel what Destiny was supposed to be. The original vision for this game was clearly something great. It's a shame it only came through in glimpses when it was released.

I think Destiny is a different beast altogether now and I still enjoy the game. But it will forever be a 'what if'...

    M.... K....

Eh. Its not like it matters now. Trying to go for a "what if" is an exercise of futility.
No matter what changes to Destiny, we always will be asking for that question what if this and that?
All of us have different expectations to the series. Some wanted something new or some wanted it be like Halo.
We can't expect it to please everyone.

    M.... K....

Inquisitor McDakka the "what if" is glued to destiny till the end of time. The $500 million budget flop. All we have are questions since the game they were working on since ODST was nowhere to be found. Instead there was this imposter calling itself Destiny. The game was cut to shreds.

TO THIS DAY, we are getting reskinned and cut content even in D2. most areas are from the D1 we'll never get. So get used to it, any bungie fan who knows the dev history of destiny will ALWAYS say "What if."

sigh, the old Bungie died with Reach.

    M.... K....

I still cant sleep sometimes thinking about how it couldve been. Glad im not alone.

  61. L.... T....

The Path: Tracking the Traveler across the solar system, then finally sending an envoy to Mars to meet it

The Union: The Traveler blessing humanity with many gifts, leading to rapid technological growth and incredible advances in science.

The Ruin: Humanity enjoying its Golden Age, with peace and prosperity for all. The Colony ships are created, to finally push beyond the confines of our solar system, into the great expanse of unexplored space.

The Tribulation: The Darkness comes, shattering the Golden age. The Traveler is wounded and humanity is pushed t the brink of extinction.

The Rose: The time of the Risen, and the time of the Warlords. Humanity slowly migrates to the Traveler. Eventually, a new breed of Risen comes, to shatter the Warlords, unite the Factions and protect humanity under the shadow of their broken god. However, danger is everywhere. The time of the Gunslingers comes, Risen who travel the world in search of those who need protecting on the road to the Traveler.

The Ecstasy: The founding of the Last City, and truly the beginning of the Guardians. Under their protection, a new safe haven emerges, a shining example of the perseverance of humanity. During this time, the Fallen attempt raids on this new City. People are lost.

The Prison: The time of great disaster for the City. The failed attack on Crota, the Battle of the Six Fronts, and Twilight Gap. Tragedy after tragedy. The Guardians focus on protecting the City.

The Hope: After a long time, a lone Ghost in the Cosmodrome finds you, a Guardian that will change everything...

    L.... T....

"Thanks. You know, for being my guardian."

    L.... T....

    beautifully written, thank you

  62. P.... _....

What a really like about this is that it's both an amazing piece of music, and a story. You can hear bits of of both the original game in it, as well as sections that may have influenced future tracks like this section at 13:36 that sounds so eerily similar to the Calus theme and lasts only a few seconds. Kinda like a foreshadowing. There's whole sections of this song they've yet to use in game, so maybe we're listening to the music of Destiny 3 without even knowing it.

  63. K.... M....

    There is a god

  64. s.... l....

I’m still so thankful that this is still on here.

  67. M.... C....

And now, bungie lives again, as it's own. Away from Activision. Welcome back. Give us the games you've always wanted to. Let the glory days return to us with this departure from a dictating studio. Show us who made Halo. Show us again why you are so impressive!

  68. Z.... T....

Goddamn, why Activision??! WHY?!!! ;~; THIS GAME COULD'VE BEEN THE BEST, YOU HAD NO NEED FOR CHEAP WAYS TO MAKE MONEY! YOU COULD'VE GAINED BILLIONS FROM SHEER FAME FOR GOD SAKE!

Sorry for caps, but after getting a Nostalgia flashback I let out my last hope for Destiny. If by some... Just by a rare chance.. Destiny 3 ends up becoming good...

  69. K.... S....

Love this music it's a shame they fired marty O'Donnell isn't the same without him

  70. R.... H....

    C.... B....

Destiny 1 base game, but it's trimmed and edited a lot. If you look at the Destiny 1 OST you'll see a lot of "Excerpt from ..." in it. Track 1 plays during the intro cutscene, and Track 2 during the Black Garden final boss.

Can’t help but comment on the haters...
Destiny is by far one of the best games ever created. Sure, the haters are most vocal but also the minority. Most people enjoy this game but it is meant to be played with friends. There is no such thing as perfect but Destiny comes closer than any other franchise available for me, as well as millions of others. You’re entitled to your opinion but doesn’t make it right. Between mechanics, visuals, music and amazing gameplay, Destiny has it in Spades 😉

Five years later, and this still is the best game I have ever played... Listening to this took me back to when I was 12... Booting up the game for the first time and watching that opening cutscene and looking in wonder at the amazing game in front of me. If I only knew how much this game had changed me as a person almost half a decade later... Hearing that first line of music was all it took to make me appreciate how far Destiny has gone, despite the ups and downs.

Jack Smith the feeling of relentless hope and optimism, the sense of wonder and awe at a world full of character and mystery, that's what destiny has meant to me since even before the beta. Bungies made a LOT of mistakes but I believe they've still got a soul in there

  94. S.... U....

This makes me so upset. I played Destiny 1 from beta to the very end, and made some very good friends and memories. 700+ hours hanging out, doing raids, strikes, etc. This game and its lore used to mean a lot to me, but now it's all wasted. Bungie/Activision (whoever at this point) just trashed something with infinite potential by releasing Destiny 2. Oh well, at least we had fun and now have this awesome music.

    S.... U....

SAINT ULTRA I'm holding out hope that Bungies course correction post Osiris continues and that D3 will be the game we've been waiting for. I don't blame anyone for being disillusioned with bungo though, they have a LOT to make up for

    S.... U....

SAINT ULTRA I was feeling the same when D2 released and hoping it would become the next legend. But I was totally wrong and D2 is a failure, I struggled to feel what D1 brought me somehow it just doesn’t work, I know D2 is now doing pretty good, but the destiny”spirit”is long gone. until now I’m still feeling sorrow while trying to remember the old and good time.

Something resides in this that I cannot pinpoint. There is an order, an imagery of all in the universe somehow incapsulated in these few songs that I have never once felt in Destiny itself. If the feeling of this is what the true Destiny was meant to be, I can only dream of its splendor.

I still like the current state of Destiny tho.
