Platters, The - I'm Just A Dancing Partner Lyrics
Am I just another
Dancing partner?
Do you smile
At every boy this way?
They're breathless?
Do you always find
Nice things to say?
When this dance is over
Will you dance with me once more?
My heart tells me you're
The love I'm longing for
If I'm just another
Then I wish this dance
Would never end
When this dance is over
Will you dance with me once more?
My heart tells me you're
The love I'm longing for
If I'm just another
Dancing partner
Then I wish this dance
Would never end

My mother used to play this and Roy Hamilton's YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE at the end of the dinner parties as people used to get their coats and exit the comfy two bedroom apartment we lived in with my aunt Tata in Harlem. Good, fond memories. And thank you for the visual--vinyl will always rule my life.
Almost a s good as the flip side

Doesn't look like many of us remember that great B side of the great pretender if I recall correctly. And One of my most favorite songs at the time. Is any body else out there who remembers?
