I was going through something extremely tough (still am sadly). But one of the problems I was having was extreme abandonment fear. Basically I was afraid that my best friend would leave me. It affected everything about me, I tried to be the best person I could ever be, I acted happy, normal and tried not to text him. But everything must come to an end. One day it all crumbled down and he found out that I was not happy. And instead of leaving me or banning me or kicking me. He sent me this song, his promise to never leave me. Amazing song.

Who's here because Ben Platt is a genuinely talented artist who deserves to be known for more than just his performance in the Politician or Dear Evan Hansen? Cause that's why I'm here.

This song hit me immediately so hard on the first listen. His voice and words connect to me on a level that can't even be described ♡♡♡

So I interpret this as both the parents love story then them singing to their child and then the child grows up and thinks they need them less, but then they have children and realise what their parents meant. And its them telling their kids their parents love story. And to appreciate everything, and how much they love them. Sorry I've listened to this a million times but I've only just heard these lyrics meaning this and needed to get it out haha.

The whole time I was watching his new Netflix series I was thinking to myself, “when will they play one of Bens songs?” When they made Run Away a part of his love with River I got really emotional. This was always one of my favorites in the album.

All the songs together should be made into a musical

I would like to say that I cried gallons from listening to this album but I know that it's nothing compared to how many times this boy cried in the politician

I saw him perform this live in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre! His voice echoed through that theatre like magic 💙💙.. I've never ever witnessed a concert with the crowd so silent. Saw many people wiping tears off their cheeks, including me. Very epic performance! !

a couple of months ago, I had a crush on my best friend. she was sweet, pretty, and atheletic. we were very close. I told my other friend, the one I trusted the most at that point, and she was cool with it. fast forward a few months (I gained the crush in January) and me and that friend i trusted got into a very bad argument. we hated eachother after that. she, then, started flirting with the girl i liked. just to get back at me for having a better friend. I hated her for that, because i knew i already had no chance with the girl i liked, without her interfereing.
A month later, it was prom. I had plans to ask the girl to be my girlfriend. I finally was going to, and she sends out her friend to make a scene. I didn't get to ask her because we left. I went to Hardees with my now best friend and she asked me if i wanted her to text the girl and ask her if she liked me back, so I said sure. She must not have been on her phone, because she didnt answer until the next day. This is what she said after my friend told her that I liked her:
"Oh gosh why does this happen.So... I feel really really really really really extremely bad , but I dont feel the same way..."
I cried... This was the song i thought of with her.
I hope she never goes to the other girl.. because shes an actual bitch. she hurt me... I loved the girl, and she knew it. she knew how much I dreamed of being with her.. and I sucks when you watch your dreams be taken from you by someone you hate...
