Find song with a Zepplin-esque style beat from Physical Graphitti. Throw in a lot of ohhs and ahhs reminiscent of days when he was actually a sex symbol - even though music moved on four decades ago. FInd a guitarist - nevermind, no one sounds or writes like Jimmy Page.

I saw Zepplin maybe six times. in the 70's. Really enjoyed them then. But like Macca, some things are best left to memories.

this was a very nice album.. not all his solo things are (my opinion and taste). Then he became an arab rocker (and a folk country singer for a little while) but must say his albums have their own dignity.. this last "Carry fire"..dont know.only heard little things here and there, previous one ("lullaby and ceaselss roars" was very good.. I might be wrong but this new one seems to be its "poor brother".. but I will have to listen better.. Not sure if I'll buy this time though

If Page wouldnt choose Plant for his new band , most of us would never know who the fuck Plant is. Page was already famous, but Plant was made big name for himself purely thanks to Page. Page was lookin for new singer for new Yardbirds ans Plant was just one of options. Do we really say this music is cool from what it is (as the rest of Plant songs) or it is fired up by the fact " hey this is Plant, it have to be cool". However it is from individual to individual, music which Plant made since end of LZ is at least partly uplifted by the fact it is made by RP ! If this song was made by Gwen Smith for example would it still hold our praises ? I feel Plant is somehow not grateful at all to Page for the fact that he own his recognition and fame purely to the fact that he was lead singer of LZ and at least he could show love and respect to Page by supporting Led Zep for one tour ! But seems to me Percy has neither love and respect for his true friend Page nor for Led Zep fans !  Is this sign of arrogance ?

If he did not blow it out on the non stop touring he did and trying to prove himself to page and jones he may still have that upper register. Instead he had to change and we have what we have.
