Speaking from personal experience with other weaknesses, deliverance is hard but not impossible, as you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Ask Jesus for wisdom to overcome, for ears to hear his voice, and for a made-up and determined mind to overcome. This is according to my experience: Jesus will give you steps of obedience to follow, and if you obey, he will honor your obedience with deliverance. The Lord delivers those whom he delights in. For instance, when he was delivering me from former personal weaknesses that no longer have a hold on me, one thing he had me surrender to him was my hair. I no longer conform to this society by straightening it, but wear it as he fashioned it (curly), and in surrendering to his will, he honored my obedience by granting me strength and a backbone to lead. I couldn't change the fact that my heart was plagued with insecurities from past wounds, but I could take a small, although VERY crushingly difficult and embarrassing at the time, step of obedience by surrendering my hair (along with other things) to Jesus. He will give you steps of obedience to take like that (could be something as simple but challenging as 'stay off Facebook' if it promotes your sinful desire). Whatever you sense his gentle Spirit tell you, comply with it until he delivers you. He will take you bit by bit through a process that causes you to stop giving demons legal rights over your body. It will be worth every sacrifice in the end to be in rightstanding with Jesus and in a place that he can greatly use and bless you for his kingdom.

Oh, one more thing: He showed me through the book of James (specifically chapter 3) that we have power to speak terrible or wonderful things into existence. Our words will either empower hell or heaven to work on our behalf. So declare and proclaim your deliverance from homosexuality every day until he sets you free, and ask him for a believing heart! We must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
