Yeah it's fine to criticise FPTP. However other systems like STV have also resulted in constitutional crises and counter-intuitive results (See Malta). Others like Italy are moving away from PR and towards FPTP because of the tendency to return unworkable governments. The reason Trump won the US was because the US is a federation of 50 semi-autonomous states. The smaller ones would not agree to total domination by populous states e.g. New York and California, so are overrepresented and have been since the Constitution was agreed for that reason. Also if there were ever a Federal Election by popular vote, the red states would insist on stricter voter ID laws in places like California. By all means criticise, but the more you look into different systems, the more you realise that none of them are perfect.
