@TheRealLibertine It doesn't mean anything. Kangaroo Died simply means a Kangaroo dying. Which is probably why they never brought the song back. The chorus doesn't really mean anything.

I think this song is incredibly beautiful. It must be one of the first recordings of Placebo, ever, too. It's sad that this and the old version of "Hang on to Your IQ" aren't included anywere, because they're both really, really good despite their age.

(also, I never thought Brian's voice was very feminine like everyone said, but here - I would probably had thought so too if I didn't know he was a guy from the start.)

Can any english speaking person tell my why a lot of love songs refer to a kangaroo (e.g. "Kangaroo cry" Blue October)? Is it a way to call one's lover that has nothing to do with animals , like "the apple of my eye" stands for "my favourite" even though it has nothing to do with fruit??
