PJ Harvey - Plants And Rags Lyrics
plants and rags ease myself into a body- bag
dreamt a man he fed me fine food, he gave me shiny things
white and black are you looking for the sun boy? the sun doesn't shine down here, no, in shadow
house and home who thought they could take away that place? lead us outside, and lead us out quietly

Best song on Dry, and top 5 best PJ songs of all time.
One of the most lyrically gifted artists of this time, she sings and she is pure. I think it this society we need that raw gaping wound..... sing on baby <3
this combination of hard acoustic guitar riffs and cello in the refrain is really amazing!
Man, I love rock songs with cello.
She's a man eater and an amazing musician. Always consistent.
Goose pimple inducing, fantastic
wow that can still rock so much it s simply amazing...
ease myself into a body bag
gee, is there only room for one female artist? They have to be in direct competition with one another? I bought both PJ Harvey's albums and Hole's- and Tori Amos', and 7 Year Bitch, L7, Babes In Toyland, The Breeders. The music of women is as diverse as the music of men, and is not a genre in itself.
i'd marry PJ in a second...
I love it
Dry is my favorite album... ever.
Oh my god, the cello and violin parts are CRAZY! Love it!
Urgh! Hole suck dead rotting carcass, this song is utterly amazing!
@Frankenqueenie Not alone, you two. Love everything PJ, music, her beauty, class, everything. And Courtney is just an important part of my life. Her music that is. Love them both, personally and musically.
@n0td4v3 I love PJ Harvey and Hole too haha! It's funny cuz their music's so different- both really great though and overlooked in my opinion.
@RockNimbie Me too! My favourite track from "Pod" is "Fortunately Gone" and this brilliant song by PJ totally reminds of that song plus I love the cello so much in "Plants and rags".
I hope PJ will win the Mercury Prize again even though it's one of the most pathetic awards ever she totally deserves any prize she gets.
I don't know why, but this song kind of remind me of the "Pod"-era Breeders. Maybe, that's why it's my favourite PJ song.
And oh, I love those cascading cellos and violins.
(Hm, and I see no resemblance with Courtney Love and Hole, though I like their early stuff, especially "Pretty on the Inside").
@noodlesxstrawberryz yes she is
@ScienceProjek
you are an idiot.
This song never gets old, or shall I say, the sounds of PJ always relevant.
sounds alot like Rasputina O_O!! (and I know the other sound(s!) of Pj, dont worry...)
She's a good singer, musician she's smart and beautifull <3
PJ is the woman we all need.
uh-uh, 'dry' was out 92-ish
Great ! I love this song. Makes me... I don't know...
