Pink Floyd - Yet Another Movie Lyrics

One sound, one single sound
One kiss, one single kiss
A face outside the window pane
However did it come to this?

A man who ran, a child who cried
A girl who heard a voice that lied
The sun that burned a fiery red
The vision of an empty bed

The use of force, he was so tough
She'll soon submit, she's had enough
The march of fate, the broken will
Someone is lying very still

He has laughed and he has cried
He has fought and he has died
He's just the same as all the rest
He's not the worst, he's not the best

And still this ceaseless murmuring
The babbling that I brook
The seas of faces, eyes upraised
The empty screen, the vacant look

A man in black on a snow white horse
A pointless life has run its course
The red rimmed eyes, the tears still run
As he fades into the setting sun

  15. D.... O....

This is the most underrated Pink Floyd album and I hate how people don't see the full beauty of this album

  16. B.... S....

This song always reminds me of 8 years ago driving to my old job in a foot of snow and ice with nobody else on the road. The eerie and unsettling feelings then, always creep back when I hear it.

  17. D.... T....

Awful drums and keys. Too much reverb. Random lyrics. Generic over noodled guitar. Dated eighties bass style. I can't hear any Pink Floyd at all except for Gilmour's voice and guitar sound, both over produced. 2/10

  18. U.... U....

    Impecable☆

  19. D.... F....

  35. C.... C....

I remember being 16, 17 years old listening to this song on my walkman while wandering the streets of Toronto all night long. The 80s were an awesome time.

  36. C.... T....

First seconds are OK,but after that it became annoying and uninventive, sorry Floyd fans, but this is the truth for many of their tunes!

  37. E.... S....

Mysterious and brilliant. Still listening in 2019.
    Thank you for posting.

  38. .... ....

The soul look like when God talks

  39. I.... ....

Few people can appreciate this because it is so far above them; like the twinkling of a fast moving satellite in the night sky.

  40. t.... n....

I love Floyd and David more than anything in this world after my family...it feels like their music takes me somewhere and gives me memories that aren't even mine...like I've lived another life that only they know about. They are insanely brilliant and David is without a doubt the best guitar player to ever walk this planet. I love Floyd in a way that i cannot even explain.

    t.... n....

As a 15 yr old in 1976 my older brother bought home WYWH ,while i was aware of the DSOTM i hadn't really listen to it.I started to listen and was immediately captivate by Dave Gilmour's playing, in the 43yr's since no one has come close to his sound for me.

  41. D.... S....

Раньше не дооценивал эту прекрасную песню,сейчас одна из любимых! Вообще улёт))

  42. S.... ....

Been listening for 46 years...never gets old #timeless

  43. A.... G....

One of the greatest under-known and undervalued song of later Floyd and perhaps their whole catalog

  44. S.... g....

This song is a gem for sure. Deserves a lot more love than it gets. Maybe one day it'll be more appreciated...

  45. A.... Q....

(The Momentary Lapse of Reason was an album that received some negative criticism, being considered one of the worse albums of Pink Floyd, because it was considered an album with a sound more radiophonic / commercial. There was no story or lead between the songs, something that happened in many other albums of the band. And it was the first album after the departure of Roger Waters. Momentary Lapse of Reason left excellent songs like this, however the Division Bell is best album, one of the best of Pink Floyd).

  46. A.... B....

One of my favorites from Pink Floyd. They are epic!

  47. P.... ....

We need an actual masterization of this album.

  48. S.... Z....

    Waiting for Gilmour 🙌🙌🙌

  49. M.... C....

this song still amazes me to this day!!

  50. M.... S....

Gilmore. The sublime guitarist. So beautiful. I get chills everytime I hear his guitar.

  51. W.... K....

A brilliant highlight from the first post waters pink floyd album.
Contrast this with raving and drooling live.
    There's just no comparison! LOL

  52. 1.... ....

That moment at around 06:18 , when ( if you saw them on this tour 'live' ).....those different colored lasers started blasting thru the arena. Or was I just REALLY f#@kin' stoned that night?

  53. J.... K....

for me the second side of this album is best music PF ever did, and this piece is absolutely best at that second side:)

  54. P.... ....

So much depth in this song, it's so incredibly rich. And the solo... oh man. Hope there's a God in heaven who wants to preserve songs like this for eternity.

  55. L.... B....

l'oscurità forme inaspettate nelle membra delle nostre mente , fino a ritrovare l'alba e la luce che è stata ed è con noi

    Solo in the middle=hendrix+terminator+romantic love

  70. R.... ....

    amazing song

  71. J.... 1....

    Love Pink Floyd

  72. b.... ....

A Momentary Lapse of Reason was the last PF album I bought, a disappointing and noisy album compared to the former works. The 'less is more approach' had left the band with the departure of Roger Waters' poetic skills. And worse, the total absence of a coherent thematic line in a Lapse of Reason and the next albums to come underlined the death of PF imho. Thank God Waters survived and continued to make pearls like 'The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, 'Amused to Death' etc. The real Pink Floyd is not a band but a spirit, and it lives on in Roger Waters.

    b.... ....

Pink floyd may have never lasted past 1970 without David Gilmour.

    b.... ....

... and without Nick, and Richard and Roger. But face it, Pink Floyd is past tense. Even when you search for Pink Floyd on Wikipedia it becomes obvious: Pink Floyd were an English rock band ...

    b.... ....

AMLoR is miles better than The Final Cut, though admittedly both are transparently solo albums. The Division Bell is the best album they made imo and they made it without Waters.

  73. D.... V....

SO UNDERRATED SONG.. SO UNDERRATATED ALBUM!!

  74. c.... ....

    ...epic!

  75. V.... A....

    😉👍🏼
    Absolutely brilliant.

  76. N.... J....

This is hi-art and its incredible.

  77. m.... C....

non li conosco bo. il massimo uniciiiiiii

You're going on that plane to take you where you belong.
    But no, I have
You have got to listen to me.
Do you have any idea what you have to look forward to if you stay here?
Nine chances out of ten we both end up in a concentration camp and that
You're only saying these things to make me go.
I'm saying it 'cause it's true. Inside us, we both know we belong in different
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.
    But what about us?
    But what about us?
    But what about us?

    F.... ....

Thanks for the lyrics, but this is one of those songs where the words are said very clearly and you end up memorizing the entire song on your second listen.

    F.... ....

spartan squid The lyrics are so simple and bad that... well

    F.... ....

    m.... l....

    holy fuck this is good

  96. W.... B....

Still listening in 2017 until the death

  97. S.... M....

At first, I didn't know what to think of this. Initially, I thought it was too ambitious for its own good. But after the third listen, I think it works...for the most part. I don't care for the opening. I can do without that forty-five seconds of noise. Other than that, it's pretty good.

  98. r.... ....

    jus'did!
