Pink Floyd - Seabirds Lyrics
Mighty waves come crashing down,
The spray is lashing high into the eagle's eye
Shrieking as it cuts the devil wind,
is calling sailors to the deep
But I can hear the sound of seabirds in my ear
An' a haze of candy floss, glitter and beads
Rock that we sat on and watched in the sun
That was hot to touch
And the sea was emerald green
I can hear the sound of seabirds in my ear
And I can see you smile
Surf comes rushing up the beach
Now will it reach the castle wall and will it fall
Catfish dappled silver flashing
Dogfish puffing bubbles in my deep

Pink Floyd Seabirds Comments
I really wish this song was released, Rick's Organ sounds amazing.
I'd give my left nut for a clean full version of this
I like the rare photo of the 'five piece Floyd. Nick, Rick and David looking ahead, Syd at the clouds and Roger, " I want to be over there". Funny.
Nothing on YouTube is rare
Amazing how he got the shittiest actors for the movie, but the best band ever to make the music for it
The girl was ok, the guy was bad. Plus, Floyd weren't mainstream back then. They were known, but not by everyone.
Sung by Roger, interesting.
..*!*..
The people in charge of the precious Pink Floyd catalog need to be given a damn hard slap. Pathetic, money greedy incompetents all of them.
This is the best you can get unfortunately. I remember a quote from an interview about the More tapes for the Early Years Box and someone said there was a song(s) by other pop groups on said tape(s). I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was one of those songs and no one recognised it as Floyd. Clearly from what happened with the box set, none of those involved were Floyd fans. Fingers crossed someone might find a studio copy and bootleg it. The best releases these days tend to be fan contrived bootlegs.
Doum Tekka im dying to here some more syd barrett i have a funny feeling his best musoc has yet to be released, do u perhaps know of any? Im on of those early floyd fans hehehehe
Mickey Chaos look for the five album boxed set "Have You Got It Yet ?", the most comprehensive Syd collection I've come across. Also great is the double album "The Malcolm Jones / Peter Jenner Tapes"
Apparently the master tape was lost so they only have a copy with a low mix in the vocals. Unless Roger sing again on this song maybe this is the closest we can get. I read that people in charge did not include it because it did not have the same quality as the other songs in the Early Years, 1969 volume.
I thought the box set was great, this was the only notable exclusion, IMO.
Sounds like the Pretty Things
Cette cuisine avec cette blonde.......;) entre paradis et enfer..........
yes this is the real song, not this bad Joke on the new Compilation
I'm not very tech-savvy but isn't there some kind of software that would eliminate the higher-decibel dialogue and sounds?
I guess if we could get ahold of the original unedited audio for the movie, we could use it to separate the music. It would be pretty low quality, but it would be something.
no. software can’t remove some sounds while leaving others in. that’s not how it works. it can attenuate certain frequencies, but removing a loud voice while keeping a quieter voice is not how it works
With Nile Song and Ibiza Bar, - and another thunderous rock track off Zabriskie Point which is apparently called Fingals Cave (but ISN"t the ambient Fingals Cave that usually comes up) - Seabirds seems to complete a set with a very heavy Cream influence: Bakerish drums and Claptonish guitar.
Farm Out !!
voondebar
For those who don't know: 'More' is from 1969.
Ratelzwatel for those that don’t know; the band is Pink Floyd, from England
The Pink Floyd anthology Piano Vocal and Guitar songbook had Seabirds in it.
Gosh! maybe a publishers demo exists?
Yep. I had that. Always used to plonk it out on the piano wondering what the original migt have sounded like.
That book is why I'm here
I noticed that the song was not on the soundtrack of that movie I was actually looking for it. I still got it in my head..
Thanks!
I was alone to love this part of the sound movies. Merci.
