Goodbye carel world I'm leaving you today goodbye goodbye goodbye this is actually to be played at my furnnel
This song is in the SpongeBob episode Are You Happy Now?.
Pink Floyd's version of nine inch nails: hurt.
Whenever you're seeing this have a great life! Don't think about the bad stuff!
I will have this song on a continuous loop when I decide to go.
The way it cuts off so suddenly right after the last goodbye gives such an eerie feeling
"Goodbye Cruel World"
Goodbye cruel world
I'm leaving you today
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye all you people
There's nothing you can say
To make me change my mind
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Listening as Boris wins majority
These ads fill me with the urge too deficate
YES JUDGE, SHIT ON HIM!!
I'm off to join the circus
Now I just have to play "Hey You" 😬
and then I had to finish the whole album😅
Melhor banda da minha juventude, e continua sendo...
Dear listener, please flip over your album.
Simply beautifully
Before I listened the whole album I thought he's going to commit suicide
The whole album loops itself and every song fades into the next EXCEPT this one. The end of this is clean cut and silence before the next one starts.
So why would they make an album that loops and everything fades into each other but not this song ?
My theory is that basically the album never really ends thanks to the loop but right here after this song when there is silence you can make it end by stopping the album. But you have to ACTIVELY stop it or the album will keep going thanks to the arrangement of the songs.
No other point in the album makes sense because the one song hasnt finished or the other already begun leaving it with no real ending.
I think its symbolic for how his life keeps turning in circles with building, destroying and rebuilding the wall (with the last and first song connected) and to get out he has to ACTIVELY stop it. Either by saying goodbye to the wall and actively fighting against building a new one or by actively ending his life
Thats up to interpretation.
But thats just my theory of it maybe Im reading too much into it
I'm sorry for ruining your theory, but all of that can be explained by the tech side of album. That's just a last song on first disc, so they needed to end it clean.
I now hate target
If I decide to kill myself someday, this is the final song I'll listen to.
this, and the end by the doors
@urban yeah that's a good one too
Goodbye cruel world.
Pink Floyd sure saved my life and why I'm here today, whenever I was angry or depressed I would turn to the Wall album as catharsis.
Goodbye Blue Sky
I salute you
I was in a fine mood, listened to this song for an hour and became incredibly lonely and depressed, beware! Very catchy but also very powerful and possibly in a negative way.
It actually helps me when I feel suicidal.
I kinda felt the same way
HEY YOU!!!!??
I wish I could say goodbye cruel ads.
Psst.. Ad block ; )
ogyoutube for android😌
My brother once said to me he wants this playing at his funeral
Play this at my funeral
Hope you still here
I was 21 years old when my heart was first broke. I listened to this on a loop over and over while lying in bed with a bottle of Xanax that my doctor was kind enough to prescribe for me. The pills saved my life even though I wanted to down the whole bottle.
My suicide note life sucks society sucks capitalism is gear only for the the rich and famous if your fat and poor society rejects you
This is the song from our nature, as species after species dyes from human toxic waste.
hello bye bye I'm going today good bye good bye good by all you people theres noting you can do to change my mind good good bye good bye :(
this song is about suicide?
It's meant to sound like it, but actually it's about Pink putting in the final bricks in the wall, saying goodbye to the world because he's finally shutting it out completely.
@Asriel Dreemunov Thank you Asriel
@Miguelito Sanchez No problem. Listening to the entire album will really help with understanding the context of the songs.
You have to wonder how many people think this song is about suicide...
Roger Waters himself always says that his songs are open to different interpretations and perspectives. If you take this song alone, without the context of the album, you can definitely think this is about suicide, instead of a “last brick in the wall” song. I can 100% relate to the lyrics and the mood of the music, when I feel suicidal.
Interesting that no one has commented on this song
Sudden comment surge on pink floyd the wall videos lacking comments today.
Has nobody ever commented on this song?
I'm beginning to wonder if some comments were deleted yesterday.
RIP Etika.
This is the saddest song I know of.
I listen to goodbye cruel world when I have a hormonal explosion occurs.
This is how i'm feeling right now.
I demand that this song is played on my funeral
After years in the making, Pink's Wall to isolate himself from the outside world is now complete. As he finishes placing the final bricks, Pink assures the world and himself that he is never turning back. With the last brick in place, he is now completely cut off from the world.
Perfect song for the last brick on the wall
why are you singing for a brick , i dont get it ?
Adeus, mundo cruel.
nothing to do with suicide whatsoever
Que alegría saber que esta obra maestra será la última canción que escuche.
Un suicidio más.
Espero que no te hayas suicidado.
2018 and still the best band ever
Pink Floyd's The Wall has a reoccurring leitmotif, a simple '3 up, 1 down' progression. It's pretty much in almost every song in the album.
In this song, it's only featured once. "Good-Bye ; Cruel ; World" "1-2 ; 3 ; 2"
Saint Anastasia Romanov's last letter, Goodby, Hope for Evelyn is dead, she states her future path and the outcome
good bye
I feel ok but not ok at the same time, as if mentally I know that I am currently in a ok position but deep down I’m preparing for the bad thing to happen again.
Sometimes I find the thoughts of depression liberating (nothing matters and we all will just die), because I can just relax for a while and think what I want to think, because nothing matters. But then again, I can choose to make something matter because I want to believe and that makes me feel ok, and sometimes sad or happy. I mean, I already know I’m selfish and that I will potentially be alone forever, so like, I’m just gonna do weird and sad stuff because I like it. There’s obviously something wrong with me, but at least I feel ok right now. Not really ok, but it’s like just meh, with everything dark co existing with myself.
Careful... Careful... With that axe Eugene...
I recall the time I listened to this song and fell asleep...
The final goodbye..........So solemn, so mis stated , so final
"Pink isn't here,He's back at the hotel...Against the wall...That ones a leper,And that one has spots,If I had my way,Id have all of you shot.Against the wall"Roger Waters ,The Wall.
tears..
Its meant to sound like he’s going to kill himself, but in the album he’s actually putting the final brick in the wall. Its meant to sound like suicide to compare the extremity of what he’s doing.
Very true fair play for getting this point out there x
Or may be ending a bad day......
Jack Holmes To be fair, some have speculated that the sound of the wall being torn down resembles the sound of a gunshot, implying that Pink shot himself.
@Ferrete Depends on if you're going by the album or the movie. The movie ends on the optimistic note
But thats just my theory of it maybe Im reading too much into it
This album can be called "The Goosebump" too.
O meu fone ta meio fodido e n consigo ouvir ele falar
Is art I forgot just how amazing it really is ..And now it srikes me in so many new ways I never needed or felt before
The guitar strums in the background are just a slowed down version from See Emily Play.
Or "Careful With That Axe Eugene".
The ending of this song always gives me the creeps...in the best way.
This is life
I say goodbye, the cruel world says good riddance.
bass sounds like Careful With that Axe Eugene
Well if it was slowed down a little
Many sections on this album seem like callbacks to their catalogue.
I wonder how many people have killed themselves to this song.
One would be too many
Current contemplation is actually why I'm here.
This seems like something on a suicide note.
I know I thought at first that this was a suicide note like he was depressed and wanted to leave the world but it’s not like that I think
No shit.
Thanks for that profound analysis Sherlock
It's a song about emotional isolation
It took me more than twenty years to realize that this is indeed Floyd's best album.
Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Not on this album,Vera however is in the movie, though not on the record
Has nothing to do with this album at all
This record is eternal holy flame .
TRASH SONGS LIKE THIS INSPIRE PEOPLE TO KILL THEMSELVES
TADufine NANI????
Well...? What the fuck you waiting for? Basement, rope, rafter, now!
you're a fucking idiot learn about the concept album. i bet your favorite record is one and your to stupid to know it
and you dogs ugly too
Garbage statement from a dumbass on the internet....
siete davvero in gamba.. Grazie che ritmo!
Hey. To the people who committed suicide, I mean you must've died with a good feeling knowing you had a good taste in music
LPSPURPZ no words well a few
How did you know?
This song is gonna be on the play list at the funeral home when I die at old age cause it's timeless and there's nothing that can be changed at that time
Just noticed how Waters sings in one side of the headphones, while the instrumental plays on the other side. Woah.
If you only use the right earbud it's even more eerie
@Marius Lenk stereo was cutting edge at the time, now no one really thinks twice nor has there been such a changing audio experience as mono-stereo
Thanks for telling me, I was wondering why there was no lyrics then I realized I only had one earbud in.
I'm deaf in my left ear. Stereo has always been the dumbest shit to me
Heard this song a million times then a speaker wire came unplugged and it was like the voice threatening suicide was GONE. I shit for about 10 seconds before I figured it out. I wonder who else this happened to.
Goodbye...
Goodbye Cruel World I applaud you for the devotion to the band. Well done
Am I the only one that hates how his voice only comes through the right ear?
TheMitochondria I hate his voice too he sucks
TADufine I hope you are not serious, dirty sinner
Listen to the movie or record without headphones,It's different
hello cruel word en 2016 ,where are we going?
CuDi brought me here
Jahrell Gardner same, you a real one bro
why is there no singing like isn't there supposed to be someone there?
Your right speaker's probably broken.
Okay I do listen to alot of pink Floyd and many times I did listen to this I had (I think it was Roger) singing goodbye cruel world, so don't insult me
Actually I was just giving an honest guess; I'm only hearing the vocals from my right earbud, while the instrumental's coming from both channels.
@game4brains 123 no I'm okay with you as It may be the case with my headphones
+Maymay 4paypay, you must have pretty shit headphones then.
kidcudibrought me here
Why? Really curious?
kid cudi sampled/covered this song. its called 'goodbye'
I like kid cudi but had no clue until seen 100 people being like 'kid cudi brought me here" so i just googled it
I never noticed that there are faint remnants of "Another Brick in the Wall Part 3" in the background of this song if you listen hard enough. Kinda makes it seem even eerier.
Dill Pickle +
I made a similar comment on earlier song.
Back in the days when entire albums were brilliantly written and sung as one single epic journey.
Damn I miss those days!
DuskCorvus918 OMG ur right. Damn they were awesome
Play these songs in order. The thin ice, Brick in the wall pt.1 The happiest days of our lives, Brick in the wall pt.2, Brick in the wall pt.3, Good by cruel world.
I always thought of this as Brick in the Wall pt4
It's also in waiting for the worms
Goodbye Cruel World (Waters) 1:05

Still the best album in the world...
Pffft, normies.
Dark Side of the Moon is far superior.
@Ali Hasany Wrong. Dark Side of the Moon is good, but not even in the top 5 best Pink Floyd albums.
Gary Bradbury
In your opinion not a fact.
In mine, it’s one of the best.
@Ali Hasany I think the division bells is better
Casey Glover no definitely top 5
Fuck my best friend posted this song on his Facebook before he committed suicide. I tried talking him out of it. but he just told me he loved me and that it was such a selfish thing for him to do.
My best friend killed herself. I know how you feel. My friend loved this song too...

lol Thomas Roedoe
Terror Proxii no it’s not stfu
I love how there are about 4 lines to this song, and yet it is still better than most modern pop songs of today.
@VinchVolt in all fairness I was expecting to actually hear something worth listening to when I clicked on this video.
And modern rap
Honey Pie by the beatles is still better then most modern pop songs today
Oh a 100%
Modern music is complete shit!!, especially the kind of absolute shit they play on kiss fm
