Pink Floyd - A Spanish Piece Lyrics

Bath of tequila, Manuel
Listen Gringo
Laugh at my lisp and I kill you
I think
This Spanish music
It sets my soul on fire
Lovely seniorita
Your eyes are like stars
Your teeth are like pearls
Your ruby lips seniorita

    Red gaming86,

They most likely wrote this before you were a dark thought in your daddys eyes, long ago.

dont forget they couldnt just whip out their phone, connect to wifi and youtube all the music their heart desired.. times were different haha. they probably never forseen this being played globaly one day. It was *meant for their audience,* most likely not Spain's, Mexico's, America's, etc.

They confuse these stero-types with spanish culture? i personally feel they respected and liked it enough to want to play this style in the first place.
then had, good humor intended, jabs at a different culture. Which, yeah, 48 years later it may seem odd to how we have grown up today. but hey; that's just my opinion.

  20. M.... B....

    Just love British humour!

If Syd was expressing his uni-fathom of the universe, while the fragmented remaining nuggets of the Floyd were attempting to send their coded remains thru his Enigma encryption. We are offered this piece. At the very, very least it makes silence sound boring.

    D.... D....

    What the fuck

  23. A.... L....

    Cringeworthy

    A.... L....

I'm from Spain and I love this song. Is so special, so humoristic.

    A.... L....

    Joan Vázquez Pérez,

    thank you!

    1. the times were different back then.

    2. this definitely seems in good humor, so idk why all the hate. im even more impressed at David's guitar ability. great Spanish culture sound. (tho, i would have loved this to be an instrumental, personally.)

    A.... L....

The thing that I like the most of this piece is the voice. And this is so strange from Pink Floyd because I usually only would prefer the instrumental without the voice (at the majority of songs of Pink Floyd without Syd). But I don't like the voice for the meaning. Even before read the lyrics of the song I was convinced that they say other things like "Te quiero Manuela" (I love you Manuela) instead of "pass the tequila, Menuel". Mainly I like the voice because it makes me smile or laugh. I don't know why exactly this happen to me, but it happens very frequently with Pink Floyd, that reasoning does not play any role. Just love Pink Floyd (and sometimes hate it too). But when I love them I do with all of my intensity, and when I hate them (with songs like Sysyphus pt.4) also do it with intensity. I always say that Pink Floyd is like a roller-coaster of emotions. Afther Sysyphus pt. 4 goes Grantchester Meadows... and if you add psychedelics to the equation is just like...

    Lmao this kid got triggered
