This song is iconic and unforgettable! We had tickets for her live June 30, 1995 performance at "The Apollo Theater." Front row center seats too...I remember how we cried that night. The people that were going to attend that night gathered outside The Apollo Theater and comforted each other...complete strangers held each other and wept something fierce. It was like we all knew her...when in fact - we did! Thank you Auntie Soul! This song has been played 33,863 times...and we still come back for more! Rest In Peace Phyllis Linda Hyman (July 6, 1949 - June 30, 1995)....

I love the bassline- the depth- and the orchestration I perfer it to You know how to love me- the horns are superb- who was the producer- damn!!!

I am very frustrated with the melody with this one, Phyllis is perfect, but the orchestration is definitely not on the same level as her voice. It's as if she's singing to different arrangement, because she is so upbeat, and sexy.

Michael Garel it's a great song that allows her to groove with the beat. It's more groovy and chilled with a samba like tempo. Lots of great orchestration. Just my opinion

I thought this was the coolest song in 1979.  They played this quite a lot on Disco 94 and Magic 102 in Houston.
