I've been lost ever since my girlfriend left me without warning me she just left for a year, and I used drugs to numb my pain and heartbreak all it really did was make me stop thinking and forgetting about everything and I thought drugs would help me not lose myself but I learned it the hard way that you need to face your fears and demons to change and find yourself, drugs just hold you captive and numbs you but being sober I realised so much and the fact that you need to face it to make it and change. My girlfriend that ghosted me and disappeared recently came back to me all of my feelings just crashed and I didn't know how to react or feel and I felt hopeless and I didn't know what to do I wanted to use drugs again to help me not think of her. I didn't give in I got my closure and I still love her as a person but I could never trust her or go back to her I just send her all positivity and love and hope she figures out what she wants and needs in order to be happy. Now I am 4 months sober I changed my life, everyday I get a step closer to my goal and sometimes you will breakdown and want to give up and thats alright just don't stop and have faith in yourself and make sure what you want in life, you want it bad enough and fight for it and always keep a positive mindset.
