This was my first Phish show. Completely random day the girl I was talking to was like let's just go to Chicago. When we showed up I saw a Dead shop and was like babe we gotta stop. The girl there told us Phish was playing that night. I ended up getting some tabs from some strangers and two years later we've become such close friends! I rember just standing there during this song with tears rolling down my cheeks thinking that this might be one of the best moments in my life.

yea this was a great show..loved this jam while it was happening, i just tune out all the peeps talking away or holding their phones up, and dance and feel the flow of the sweet sweet grooves; appreciate any cool creative jams we hear nowadays, it's not gonna last forever kids, i'm lucky to be enjoying shows since '92, and while the scene has blown up and changed for the worse somewhat, i gotta get my live phix when i can still, and i'm grateful the guys are still finding ways to enjoy themselves with music

that whole day was amazing. the skyline at night was breathtaking especially during cities. dosed and full on grilled cheese. forgetting where the parking garage was. fun times. and the waffle house the next morning, laughing about shit that happened at the show and getting salty they didn't play timber. oh and whoever gave me mushies for my bday, thank you! glad you also found you're van.

What an incredible jam. I've rarely heard one that was so cohesive, with ideas that are allowed to spread out and develop. It feels very epic and multifaceted, like a suite, with a logical conclusion. Phish never fails to amaze me.

Truly a magical Phish moment.

The relentless, stubbornness of Fishman to keep hammering home the groove and not ever giving up is what makes Phish so incredible.

yes, and no the true the true reason they are incredible is not a single guys contribution.... its the way the four of them communicate and play if you were to take away one of them the magic may never happen.....

yeah, i stopped listening because the harmonies were horrible the first minute. i've heard way better recordings of this song and always thought Phish had awesome harmonies. it's like someone was way flat and didn't realize it...rough indeed. i'll listen to it again to see if the jam makes up for it :)

At the end of this before winterqueen started I said out loud 'man that was a great simple' and people around me gave me this dirty look. I think they must've thought it was a different song towards the end. Just because I'm 22 and can tell what a jam is, and announce my gratitude that they treated us with a jam that's past 23mins shouldn't have warranted those dirty looks. In my opinion

Agreed. I think their writing and producing is not what it used to be, but their live performances ever exceeding in quality and depth!!! I'll take it, though I would love another newbie that ranks up there with songs like Reba, YEM, David Bowie and many of their early originals that bring intricate juxtapositions of composition and improvisation.

Uh, put on a show from '92-'96 and try saying that honestly. They're more seasoned and mature in their cohesive feel but there's no denying the fire, creative urgency and meticulous musicianship of 1.0.

This was my first Phish concert, I think it's safe to say that I'll be seeing them the next time they come through
