Are you kidding? I'm embarrassed and in shock. Geritol overdose anyone? Big Cypress was the end of Phish. Now, THAT show, was beyond words. I'm sorry to say that. So, sorry. Some of the most amazing moments I've ever witnessed, were with these guys. What the hell happened?

When they first started, he found an old dress and, as a joke,wore it for a show. Kinda just stuck and became part of his image. Being naked is just him. Hes a bit of a weirdo. They all are

I have a huge connection Petrichor. It is considered my favorite song of all time, (not just of phish but of everything I've ever heard), and I would do anything to see it live. First, let me mention, I am a creative writer. I have found that my true inspiration is through music. Before I heard Petrichor, I was grabbing ideas from all over the place: books, movies, TV, and my own dreams. Although, these things weren't guiding me to write stories that I am proud of. Then, I heard Petrichor for the first time. I believe it was in September or October of 2018, and it took three listens for it to become my favorite song. I tend to listen to individual songs on a loop, and I did this with Petrichor a lot – I still do now, honestly. After I had heard this song a bunch, I began to recognize the feel of it, and the mood it put me through while listening and afterwards: it made me feel warm inside and safe (even though some of the lyrics are otherwise different). I wrote a short story and gave it the same title because it was just WAY TOO FITTING. This story was about a humble old woman named Madeline who loved rain, and that's all I will reveal because there's too much to spoil. Petrichor has its own place in my heart now, and probably will for the years to come. Ever since I wrote that story, in only two hours, I've been paying more attention to their music and only liked it even more than I have before. When I was little, I confused this band and a bunch of others because they all sounded the same to my ten-year-old mind; but now, Phish is it's own music to me and I don't think anyone else can beat their rhythm (see what I did there?) After watching this video, I've come to love them EVEN MORE. Now that phish has made the accomplishment of making me cry, I would like to say: THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!

My first NYE show and I couldn't have been happier. Trey is HEALTHY and this was the culmination of his work on Broadway and within the symphonic realm of Phish's repertoire. Brings tears to my eyes to think I get to live in this tiny corner of space at this time. Viva El Phish!

Cool, except for one irony and that is the fact that those millions of little pieces of plastic will probably find their way, eventually, into the sea - killing the fish. Petrichor is a masterpiece. It's in my top 6 Phish songs. I've been watching this performance joyfully over and over!

If you like a pop-rock orchestra, the Polyphonic Spree really do this type of thing a lot of justice.

my least favorite nye gag i ever saw out of 8. my least favorite 3rd set of any nye show too. its ok though because set 2 this night was very good. i honestly just wish at this point that phish would play the same songs every night. yem, bowie, tweezer, sand, mikes. that is what got me into the band not this phony broadway dribble. and i know i know all of you brain washed idiots will tell me to not go anymore and that i am not a real "phan" and that i am jaded. how about you go ahead and bite me?

I can't believe how many balloons there were. This is unbelievable.

How can one band, ONE BAND, create so many masterpiece moments?!?!? Think about it... the Tower Jam, Big Cypress, Halloween 2014, so many more??? I know this does not rank with those, but it certainly stands out as another MOMENT when Phish dials just the right numbers in. "And the rain came down and washed it all away..!" with inflatable DOGS! Of course. I love this band.

This was my first time at MSG and NYE with Phish. Can't say thank you enough for a very memorable evening. Happy new year to everyone!

@Andrew Martin Yes!! It's like the Dead right before Jerry died, the fans were ok with Jerry playing like shit and encouraged it..... This recent New Years looked HORRIBLE!! The free ones we got on the tube was VERY uninspired! Wish they'd get back into more and throw away a bit of the newer songs they play!
