Petra - Storm Comin' Lyrics

Went to sleep last night and I woke up feeling right
Daylight in my eyes and it seemed to be really bright
I went to the window and I looked up in the sky
I saw the angels coming but I knew it wasn't time to die
I took a look around I saw the clouds begin to form
I knew we must be near the end because the clouds come before the storm

I know the time is near
Lightning and thunder will soon here

Storm comin'
And it's coming our way
Storm comin'
And it might come today
(look out, here it comes)

I know my days are numbered
And I haven't got long to roam
It seems like quite a while I've been feeling like I want to go home
I'm just waiting for the day when Jesus will come and take me by the hand
There's no need to worry, He's gonna take me to the promise land

I hope you'll be there too
Jesus is waiting for you

Storm comin'
And it's coming our way
Storm comin'
And it might come today
(look out, here it comes)

Once the initial shock of hearing this wore off, I cranked this album quite a bit. It's totally unlike what they did in the 80's/90's, but I enjoyed it, it was fun and didn't take itself too seriously. :)

    TIME FOR A REMAKE

WMG doesn't own this song at all. LOL

What ??? Who does WMG think they are? Is this such a good song WMG or maybe even the NWO does not want spiritual ears/eyes listening to it?
WMG clearly shows no class and no hospitality by putting a stop on this song. If you want to here a similar song (but not Christian) listen to REO Speedwagon's 'Ridin out the Storm' and there is an acoustic version which is really ace man too!

This could be the first christian rock song to feature a guitar solo with wah pedal

    m.... ....

that's actually a flanger or phaser

Wow! Yeah, Wikipedia says Petra was comparable to the popular acts at the time and mentioned the Allman Brothers, which I can also hear in this song. But more than anything I hear great similarities to a couple of songs by the Grateful Dead. What a great alternative!
