One of the most poetic songs written. While I do like Dylan's rendition, this really does require accompaniment of a number of people and instruments.

This is my favorite Bob Dylan song. No wonder the Nobel Committee gave him the literature prize.

I'll never forget seeing them do this song live at Indiana University during a free concert at Dunn Meadow for a Eugene McCarthy rally. I was only eighteen then. I am sixty five now.

Oh! I saw them at IU, but not then. They gave a concert in the Auditorium (there near Showalter Fountain), and I was enthralled. Can't remember what year, but it must've been late '60s. (I'm 67 now.)

Life is so fleeting. Only yesterday I was working onstage security at the first Woodstock. Now i'm 64 and only Paul Stookey is still alive. BUT THEIR MUSIC WILL LIVE FOREVER.
