Peter Green - Carry My Love Lyrics

My hands are heavy, but I can still carry my love
My legs are weary, but I can still climb up above
Well, I can still carry my love, climb up above
And carry my love across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side

My heart is heavy, but I shall stand steady, my love
Through stony walls, yes, I shall be waiting, my love
I shall be waiting, my love, climb up above
And carry my love across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side

Across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side
We're going to make it
Together, through all kinds of weather, just you and I

My love is waiting, and I shall be ready, my love
Though my body is aching, and I shall stay steady, my love
I will be waiting, my love, climb up above
And carry my love across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side

Carry my love, climb up above
And carry my love across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side
Together, through all kinds of weather, just you and I

My love is waiting, and I shall be ready, my love
Though my body is aching, and I shall stay steady, my love
I will be waiting, my love, climb up above
And carry my love across to the other side
We're going to make it, to the other side
We're going to make it

    GREAT BLUES

one of the most honest pure blues guitarist, maybe not number 1, must be top 3. Can't image how good Peter Green would be if he has no health problem.

Your name reminded me of this nietzsche quote...

To live among fragile and absurd things; to be unfamiliar with the real. Half artist, half bird or metaphysician. To not say yes or no to reality except maybe occasionally, testing it with a foot like a good dancer; to always feel kissed by a ray of sunlight and happiness; to be filled with joy and always feel stimulated, even by affliction, since affliction upholds the happy man, and to see even in the most sacred things something comical.

just spent an hour listening to albert collins and albert king. this sounds so beautiful and gentle after those 2, who are greats in their own style, but very different guitarists.
don't think this is a classic, but another really nice song from peter.
thank you very much for posting.
