Thought provoking lyrics. The brilliance of these guys is that there are a number of ways their lyrics can be construed.

This track could be referencing anything from Brexit, immigration, world political discourse, the young girls groomed to run away to Syria to the futile wars being waged around the globe.

Here PSB surely pointing us refugee children those died over seas while crossing borders from middle east to EU countries just to "LIVE".
In today's headlines, war news are just a blink of an eye moments that caughts everyone's attention then disappears from everyone's mind instantly.
Death,starvation, being motherless and losing your beloved ones stays "FOREVER" in those children's memories and for others it becomes "FORGOTTEN".
Agenda, pictures this perfectly. While most western countries people's priorities are being some important figure in social media platforms (which is pointless) in some countries people's priorities are food, health and a decent education.
Whether you are from west or east, our priorities must be giving equal living standards to everyone, Black or White, Jew, Christian, Muslim or Atheist.. We must celebrate God's green earth while we can... here and stepping on it.

Analysis complete! My loudspeakers are not damaged. (I made a comparison with other songs and interviews and checked my Speakers.) So the reason for the deep, rough voice of Neil Tennant must be a mixture of his try to sing deep and the strengthening of some low frequencies by a sound technican. (or bad Equipment for the record) ---- some parts at the Music has the Quality of recordings from the 70's. I hope you wanted to do it like that. *_*

Love the use of the music box...to me this speaks to how much our culture has begun to push agendas even at the cost of the wellbeing of children. Children were once used as a sympathetic figure to promote a cause or policy but now we've even gone so far as justifying infanticide. Tragic indeed...

@Vagrantinspace isn't it strange how the boys tend to do that to people? I've loved them since the 80's yet still find myself becoming completely absorbed by songs I previously wasn't sure about. I was never sure about Minimal until my 5 yr old became addicted and now I love it.
Credit given where it's due to Chris's genius but I fully admit that what will hook me with something I previously wasn't a fan of are Neil's vocals...he does it every time. I spent years never really being a fan of Kings Cross until he completely blew me away with this, it's stunning.
