Spencer got alot of unfair criticism for his vocals on this album but people gotta understand he came in to this album where the lyrics and vocal melodies were already written. He really SHINES P2 and onward, displaying his range.

I think death metal growling is much better than the painful to listen to Screamo screaming, like the vocals sound here. I dislike that Metalcore can technically include Death and Screamo, because it's a broader genre. I love Periphery's clean vocals, as I was a huge fan of Pop-punk and Emo before I got into Death. But after what happened with Matt Heafy of Trivium, I sure hope the singer here doesn't blow out his vocal chords in concert, too.

Once I listened to periphery for the first time.
Heard that intro riff...insta classic.

It's pretty rare where a band can come up with riffs that make you instantly be able to recognize a song in just a couple of notes.
Hearing it makes me feel like a badass. just LISTENING to periphery makes me feel so much cooler. its strange
