Spencer writes a song about sex and its one of his best performances to date. Gotta love it

Periphery gives me a sense of serendity as I take my place in the machine of society. I used to be a free soul that didnt give a shit. Now I work towards an ultimate goal of middle class benefits and its great but yet sucks at the same time because I want to be able to do what I want when I want. I'm not trying to take away from the undeniable talent that this group has, but I just miss Spencer's clean vocal style from Periphery 1. I'm not saying that the changes are bad necessarily, part of me even thinks they fit better here and there in different songs. It just seems like they lost some of their raw unrefined features that added a sense of emotion. I can borrow a hypothetical situation from another of my favorite bands for comparison, Imagine if Kurt Cobain had taken vocal lessons after the success of Nevermind and Bleach, and in doing so he improved his ability to sing in a classic sense, (vibrato, hitting notes more accurately, ect), would the songs from In Utero be better? I don't think so, Art comes in many forms some more refined and some more naturally occurring, and in the case of Periphery's clean vocal sections I personally liked the way they were carried out originally. The song Racecar is 15 minutes of the most beautifully progressive metal ever largely due in part to Spencer's vocals and the layering of vocals of other members of the band. Agree or Disagree either way they have earned a spot in my list of favorite songs in more than one case, I'm simply trying to express my own thoughts and see if anyone else can relate or elaborate further on them.

i absolutely love this song, more than anything from the vocals and lyrics, but the instrumental is brilliant too, i love the whole vibe of the song, it feels so different and fresh, if they did a whole album of this style i would buy that 10 times
