Pearl Jam - Sad Lyrics
All the photographs were peeling
and colors turned to gray
He stayed... in his room with memories for days
He faced... an undertow of futures laid to waste
Embraced... by the loss of what he could not replace
There is no reason that she passed
And there is no god with a plan
It's sad... and his loneliness is proof
It's sad... he could only love you
It's sad
The door swings to a passing fable
A fate we may delay
We say... holding on...delivered in our own brace
He let em as he laid in bed
It's sad... and his loneliness is proof
It's sad... he could only love you
It's sad
Holding his last breath
Believing... he'll make his way
But she's not forgotten
He's haunted...he's searching for escape
If just one wish could bring her back
It's sad... and his lonliness is proof
It's sad... he will always love you
It's sad

Pearl Jam Sad Comments
Play at 1.25 speed
Why was this not on Binaural!!
This song is a lot better than anything that actually made it onto Binaural.
This song was playing when I found out that my brother had committed suicide
His loneliness is proof, it’s sad
This reminds me of my grandpa when my grandma past away
First time i heard this song, i just had to learn that intro riff.
Man,I find it super tricky.
@himoong it is, but once you get it, its easy and fun to play
It takes time but it does come
How didn’t this song or Fatal make the Binaural album again? It would’ve turned an already great album into a masterpiece
Aaron D .. I was asking myself the same question...Sad and Fatal are amongst my favourite PJ songs
If just one wish could bring her back...
This is Pearl Jam at their absolute best. Why the hell was this left as an obscure B-side??? That's just fucked up.
My favorite on Lost Dogs
This song wasn't on an album
*It's Sad*
Awesome oh why did i sell my Lost dogs?
Awesome song
A couple notes in the riff sound a bit middle eastern it's cool
bellissima
That guitar rift is just magical
one of my top three favorite PJ songs.
should never have been cut from Binuaral. lyrics, vocals and music are spot on.
And my loneliness is proof... It's sad.
Great Pearl Jam! The band/Eddie will grow old gracefully....I'm sure. They are just that type. Thanks for closing out the Spectrum in Philly...good times!!!

this song is so powerful im a lifelong pj fan and it amazes me how ed and stone do it.
could be chapter 2 of "black" if u read the lyrics and the sound is next to "ten"
This would be a good show opener
This is the best song of PJ for me. Thanks.
and Black, both are PERFECT
VideOrganizer Personally, Daughter and Yellow Ledbetter are my favorites, but lets be honest Pearl Jam in general is fucking great. I'm not even into grunge or rock at all but Pearl Jam and Tool are the exceptions. More of a hip hop person tbh but love both of those bands.
pearl jam sad is very very very good
it's sad.
sad is their best song!!!!
VICKY and they chose not to put it on Binaural
I always think im never in the mood to listen to this song but i find myself singing every single time
Whoever disliked this, you have my eternal hatred, you soulless mud.
Such lyrics.
Very Vedder.
Much poet
@A. Ian Steward Where did you see this?
+A. Ian Steward no, Jeff wrote The Other Side. This is Eddie's song.
it won't get Eddie Vedder than this, now would it? ;)
