Pearl Jam - Faithful Lyrics
Plaque on the wall says that no one's slept here
It's rare to come upon a bridge that has not been around
Or been stepped on
Whatever the notions, we laced in our prayers
The man upstairs is used to all of this noise
And echoes nobody hears, it goes, it goes, it goes
Like echoes nobody hears, it goes, it goes, it goes
We're faithful, we all believe, we all believe it
And echoes nobody hears, it goes, it goes, it goes
We're faithful, we all believe, we all believe it
So faithful, we all believe, we all believe it
M.Y.T.H. is
We never listen
Voice inside so drowned out
Drowned you are, you are, you are e-very-thing
And everything is you
Me you, you me, it's all related
What's a boy to do?
Just be darling and I will be too
Faithful to you

Best album ever 😍
Great song....relates to Seep....following the media...and Believing it like a sheep. Eddie Vetter of Pearl Jam...a brilliant man.
Recuerdo esos días en los q usaba pelo largo y escuchaba este disco de pearljam todo era más mejor y más encendido. Y a todo esto y Gracie?
What can you say but wow. I remember Ten when it came out seeing them at Portland Meadows with Neil Young. Best rock band of my time in my opinion.
This is Pearl Jam the shit.
Great track, should have been a single.
This album is underrated!! I've been obsessessed with it lately, soo good!
Def an album that deserved more commercial success than it had though it was well liked by most critics. I feel like When Pearl jam made it they had the youthful vitality, talent and experience in perfect balance. It is their greatest album on several levels IMO. Most importantly to me one of those rare albums I'll happily listen through without skipping a track.
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
if I thought Pilate or In Hiding was my favorite track on this gem, forgive me my Pearl Jam brethren ....
My favorite track on this album has bounced around for years now.
Wake Up song

It's rare to come upon
A bridge that has not been around

Whatever the notions,
We laced in our prayers
The man upstairs is used
To all of this noise
I'm through with screaming
And echoes nobody hears,
It goes,

Like echoes nobody hears,

We're faithful,

My Grandma bought this for me and let me okay it on her cd player in her bedroom and just shut the door and left me there. No freakin joke. She was so cool.
I remember playing Final Fantasy 2 on SNES while listening to this album over and over. Everytime I hear this I think of that game or vice versa. Good times. 😊
Me encanta esta canción 👌🤘 y es un super álbum 👏👏👏👏👏
its, PJ bitch
Fool me Twice Shame on ME lmao
Masterpiece..like them ALL
Eddie says it best, Lord, we ALL believe.
Muito bom!
it's my band, yo. always going to be my band. since I was teenager listening to grunge. and forever on.
Is it weird that I include this awesome PJ song into my Christian/gospel playlist?
For some reason the last sentences of this song always bring tears to my eyes
amo muito
Me enamoré de esté TEMA y ya cumplo un año escuchandolo QUÉ viva Pearl Jam
pearl jam is the best band of all time Eddie's voice holds so much weight
Not for you was my fav by pj for a long time until I heard this masterpiece.....this band is like the 2nd coming of Led Zepplin.....SOOOOO many great songs covering a multitude of varying styles....rock and roll, blues, alternative, slow songs.....and like led zepplin....i never get tired of their songs!!! I could play this song for an hour and not get tired of it.....
Ivey Jones
I've done that before. It's better. Like a fine wine.
Riffs de The Rain Song
Now in 2017.. Eddie lost her legendary voice 😖😖😖😭
POWER PEARL JAM
LIVE THIS THEME
Beautiful song!
We all Believe! We all believe Ed!
que pasada. me recuerda tantas cosas mezcla de nostalgia y buenos tiempos.
#legendary
Excelent Band and music.
recuerdo mucho este álbum en mi adolescencia
my grandpa died last week at 95, this song reminds me of visiting him so much. :(
Damn, quite a life he must have led
love this song so much
Ho 31 anni e ascolto i pearl jam dalla quinta elementare... Che dire..? Grazie
complimenti....
I absolutely love the Yield sessions, Single Video Theory left a deep, positive impression on me, as all of their music seems to do in different ways. Blessed to have such great musicians still going strong!
poor sound quality. thanks anyway
Pearl Jam has always been a rock&roll band I don't know wtf grunge is sposed to be...Alice in Chains might've been a grunge band when Dirt came out but that's about it...it's all just kick ass rock&roll
What kind of music is this considered to be?
Well, the band is "grunge". :v
+Jake Martin amazing music
alternative
'Yield' album released in 1998.
so many underappreciated PJ albums, this one included. But I throw this one in the same category as No Code, Binaural, and Riot Act...this i think being the best of the 4
This album is brilliant!!!
💙💙
beautiful opening guitar
A melhor do Yield
its a daring song
expressively exceptional. slowburner..
+Nicolaas Van den Broek well said my friend
brings back memories of high school days
same for me, singing in the mirror making signals to the lyrics
Absolutely bro.
PJ defined my HS days.
Got into hardcore later on but I still regularly listenZ
I will never get enough PJ. Always perfect, always amazing.
Definitely one of Pearl Jam's hidden gems. Yield is such a mature album, I often wonder how much Jack Irons' drumming influenced Pearl Jam's overall sound for this album.
how hidden?
@Aras Toksoy Abruzzese > Cameron/Irons
Simone Albertini Full agree mate but I prefer matt than irons
@Aras Toksoy also Matt and Jack are two great drummers, i prefer Cameron at Irons
Simone Albertini me too matt>jack
This is a good song to listen to too on a mountain top in WA state.
The vinyl version of this album is UnReal!
I'm faithful. one "L"
One of the best!
im through with screamin'
This album is GREAT!!
The pic reminds me of the drive to chaco canyon, New Mexico
I 90 going to Spokane from seattle....maybe?
@lyle harris it's some road in Montana. Not too far from Jeff Ament's house, if i remember correctly.
YES! Thank you. The composition. The structure. It's like a mountain. That middle section between the 2 chorus's is the peak. The song finishes how it starts.
I love this song now as much as i did as a 15 year old in 1998. Half my life.
I KNOW it's mine. The structure. The guitar tone. The lyrics. The drum sound. The vocal melody. The bass line.
Perfect.
I think this is my favourite Pearl Jam song.
Me You
You Me
It's all related
p.s. I hope I don't get struck by a lightning bolt.
never paid much attention to this tune until I viewed the PJ20 disc. Now I am all over it. Sorry to all PJ faithfulls, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.
very epic composition.. wow.. so timeless.. and the vocals are so engaging..
there is no turning back, once listning to this album.never bored with PJ. still going strong in 2013.
Love it.
The full magic of Pearl Jam is released in this song of uncanny vibes and pure Pearl Jam power courses through me!!! Love you guys!!!
Gary coleman's faithful
Fuck nirvana.
Not cool man.. Nirvana is the greatest, next to Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Alice in Chains .. All in same category . of Greatness!
I really like Binaural and Riot Act i hate there 06 Album and love Backspacer i own that album and ive PJ20 Millions times LOVE IT !!
What a great album
A cult classic!
i think Backspacer has its original sound. Amongst the waves, Just Breathe, The End- to name a few. I love how PJ still has such an impact that flies under the radar. So many have written them off as a 90's grundge band. The PJ20 directed by cameron crowe was awesome-if you have Netflix its worh the watch.
Well, if you cant be bothered to look further than the Foo Fighters, sure. Dude, trust me, I listen to a LOT of local bands. They truly do have something to their sound. Again, you just have to look further than the Foo's and Green day (Neither of which I like that much by the way), but I'm sure listening to what the radio doesn't play will be nearly impossible task for you 'good musics dead, never to be heard of again' people.
Not really. There are some decent bands, but no great bands.
Just shut up, please. There is plenty of extremely good bands that are new and fresh. You just have to search beyond the narrow taste of the radio.
I agree. You only have to see the number of stars granted to it on the All Music Guide site: 3 stars out of 5, the lowest rate in Pearl Jam catalogue.
This album makes me want to buy a motorcycle.
The beginning of this is just too good, gets me every time.
Yield have always been my favourite PJ album, and I guess it still is if I should pick one. It doesn't have that same grungeness as ten and vs. which I like about it, it's more uplifting and has this flying melodic energy to it, I like Vedder's singing way more also...
Too bad Eddy bitched out to globalism
what is really awesome about this album is that "do the evolution." is in it. i feel like that "do the evolution" brings a negative message about mankind but this song ",faithful" basically says to have faith in mankind.
the whole melody/groove of this song is sweet :)
This album in my Opinion was Pearl Jam last album that had its Original Sound!! Yield is amazazinggg
Definitely the most underated album from PJ <3
Definitely the most underated album from PJ <3
we all believe
You and me both.
Old geezer calling. I had the pleasure of growing up during the 60's and was exposed to all the great bands then and since. Pearl Jam are as good as any that i have heard. Fine musicians and tight performers.
Ten was the first CD I ever Bought when I was 12 or 13...Everyone was playing Nirvana and I said I wanted to give this new album a chance...The rest is history....PJ FTW!!!
Just be darling and I will be too...Faithful to you!! Pearl jam volta pro BRASIL!!!!! ♥
I am 16 now and it brings me back to the memories of when I was a young 5 year old boy, when my parents played this song every Friday night. It has never happened since, I miss that and would give anything to go back :'(
TREWLYKEWL
@miamiwax thats what people born in the 90's will say cause they like more the new stuff than this
notice its faithfull not faithful. the religious are full of it. excellent song
I was 20 in 1990.....MAN WAS I LUCKY
