I respect the legacy of Andy Wood and Mother Love Bone, but I never really got into their music because they sounded more like a hair rock band. I know many would argue with me and that's fine because that's your opinion, but this is mine, I would never trade Pearl Jam for Mother Love Bone simply because I love their music more. Whether other people think they suck or Eddie was presumptuous when he covered this song, I still think it was great of them to honor Andy like this and they're one of the best bands to come out of Seattle, period.

There are a few essential things missing for this to be a proper performance of Crown of Thorn by Ed: black stockings, a collar shirt with Swarowsky crystals all over it and a glossy top-hat. 3/5 because of that.
