Peaches - Search And Destroy Lyrics

I'm a street walking cheetah
With a heart full of napalm
I'm a runaway son
Of the nuclear A-bomb

I am the world's forgotten boy
The one who searches and destroys

Honey, you gotta help me, please
Somebody better save my soul
Baby, detonate for me, ohh

Look out honey, 'cause I'm using technology
Ain't got time to make no apologies
Soul radiation in the dead of night
Love in the middle of a fire fight

Honey, gotta strike me blind
Somebody better save my soul
Baby, penetrate my mind, ohh

And I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searches, searches to destroy
I'm, I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searches, searches to destroy

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

Look out honey, 'cause I'm using technology
Ain't got time to make no apologies
Soul radiation in the dead of night
Love in the middle of a fire fight

Honey, gotta strike me blind
Somebody better save my soul
Baby, penetrate my mind

And I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searches, searches to destroy
And I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searches, searches to destroy

Forgotten boy, forgotten boy
Forgotten boy, forgotten boy
Forgotten boy, forgotten boy
Forgotten boy, forgotten boy

  2. M.... W....

    Damn I love this shit!

  3. s.... ....

One of my all time favourite tracks to put on when I’m about to chew bubble gum and kick ass but I’m all out of bubblegum

If they wrote their own lyrics over the music, I would really like it. The music is pretty cool, could have more balls though. It reminds me of Hallogallo by Neu!, but, the vocals are a total disgrace to the original. This version sounds like it was written for massive radio play geared towards 17 year old female "punks." All in all, it's meh. It's just missing the angst and enthusiasm that the original song has. And that's why The Stooges are incredibly popular 45-50 years later and this band is unheard of.

    Love this version!

Just heard this on 88.3 WAIF in Cincinnati. The exact sort of thing one expects to hear on a low wattage community station!

  7. C.... ....

this version is sooo boring, i prefer the version made by Skunk Anansie, more energy!

  8. K.... C....

I sometimes she's Karen O quiet, other times she's Joanne Jett loud with those screeches. Plus mostly heavy bass, this is a cool concept, it just needs some catchier synth leads and less ray guns during the second half. Also more complex rhythms and maybe a little faster.

  9. G.... R....

    Awesome!!! heard first on #kexp

  10. A.... ....

  17. G.... ....

It's cool, kind of techno version. But it does not come close to the intensity of the original. Nice cat screams by Peaches though.

  18. f.... ....

i was hoping to some real rage like the original, its still decent but not the best

  19. b.... ....

    @KADG81 youré rrrighttt!!

  20. b.... ....

    @KADG81 youré rrrighttt!!

  21. a.... ....

I love Peaches. This isn't great though.

  22. c.... ....

@KADG81 HA bullshiiit. if you actually played music and played different istruments you would respect all of them. They all work together to make good sound and music. Don't be naive in naming bass as the real rock instrument. I play guitar and keyboard. been playing guitar since 6th grade. you can have an all guitar acoustic band. an all bass band would suck. Guitar can do many things. many feelings and sounds. bass supports. bass is bass. bass is one of the easiest things I've ever played.

  23. C.... A....

Wuau.... this is a cover; proof that the real rock instrument is the bass

  24. C.... ....

where the fuck is the GUITAAAAAAAAAAAAR????

  25. D.... B....

sounds awesome reminds me of life aquatic for some reason

  26. N.... ....

Yeah you are smoking some good shit.

  27. v.... ....

    lol no.

  28. h.... ....

    hey! hey! hey!

  29. J.... F....

this version is still good, has an 80's goth meets nu wave feel to it

  30. J.... F....

the best cover is by red hot chili peppers

  31. M.... L....

I disagree, I like the Stooges version also, but I think Peaches does this better. Its just produced better and I think a girl singing is actually better!

  32. M.... P....

What the fuck is up with Peaches' and Iggy Pop's obsession with eachother? Whatever, they are both amazing. Honestly though, this cover is kinda weak. Nobody can do this song but The Stooges. Seriously.

  33. l.... c....

I fucking love Peaches. Shes crazy.

  34. l.... c....

    Hell no!

  35. B.... ....

    is this peaches geldoff?

  36. C.... M....

I like it. Curiously, it makes me think of "Gimme Danger ". The mark of a good cover version is a respect for the integrity of the original while bringing something new to it. And it works.

  37. D.... J....

    Great cover.... I love it!

  38. M.... ....

It's all right. Not great, but not horrible either

  39. B.... ....

I hope that James Williamson can save THE Stooges from this claptrap ! No telling who might be playing guitar now since the great Ron Asheton passed away ! This machine made music sucks !

  40. W.... R....

Freaking Awesome!!! She did a great job with this and Iggy's Happy Im sure...Cant wait to see her in concert!!

  41. S.... W....

    Made in Detroit.
