This song first came out when I was in high school, and I really dug it. Within a few short years, however, it seemed to disappear from the earth utterly & became very difficult to find anywhere. I used to scour the Paycheck records & tapes in all the stores for ages before I finally found a cassette tape with it on it. It must've been the MADD anti-drunk driving blitz, coupled with radical changes to country radio at the time. For years there, I thought I might never hear it again!

Just sayin' Johnny is the most under appreciated country star ever. He went from being a great country bassist and singer to full out country star. A natural for sure. Johnny is the definition of country for this bass player.
