I remember when this song came out and dj was talking about it. one thing that stands out is that this song was completed in the studio in 3-4 hrs and that it was her first after a brief "vacation".

I was 11? hehe yeah 1988, I hear these songs in my head at times, she was a good artist, much more prestigious then what you hear today. She has hard very hard times but she's a good person. Whoever wrote the music for her must be equally talented.

With all the American Idol crap, et al, people tended to forget that Paula was a force to be reckoned with back then (and still one of my absolute favorites). I'm damn near 30 now, and STILL listen to the "Forever Your Girl" album on the daily, just about.

I have loved this song ever since it first came out until they started playing it to death in Home Depot(I hate that place). At Home Depot I was so tired of them playing it all the time, along with that country song "This Kiss, This Kiss"...>:(. On In Living Color, when they did a spoof of that song, that fake Paula was fine: a sexy Hippo-Ass.
