Paul Young - Take Me In Your Arms And Love Me Lyrics

The moon above is shining bright
Come on now the time is right
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
There is a mist of extasy
That’s growing over me
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
My love is true, my love is true
Now’s the time that my lips speak
Hold me now don’t hesitate
I need to know don’t take it away
You are the one that I adore
Tell me what are you waiting for
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
Girl, I’m hungry for your love
Give me what I’m in need of
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
I wanna share the joy of spring love
Of this moment warm and tender
Hold me tight kiss me long
Make this guy one sweet song
I hear your heart is pounding fast
Don’t lose the feeling make it last
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
Trembling I await your touch
That thrills me darling oh so much
Here I am take me in your arms and love me
Listen baby
This feeling is too strong to hold
Any second I’ll explode
Now’s the time now’s the time
Take all of this love of mine, come on love me
Love me love me come on love me
I’ll be true to you
Do what you want me to
Take me in your arms
Take me in your arms and love me

  5. P.... T....

Wow I'm Young and I found this i wish these types of girls will come back in style classy pretty ladies feminine not so aggressive and nasty

This is a great song and performance but the promotional film always makes me laugh. It is as if the cameraman cannot decide what holds the greater appeal: perpendicular late gothic architecture or the fleshly attractions of 1971. You can see what wins out at the end but, for a time, there is a struggle.

Didn't twerk or take off a single article of clothing once.

I love hearing songs that are new to me, but I can see why their career stalled. This is a very simple little song (almost sounds like a jingle) and does not need this heavy handed production that overshadows the vocals.

    R.... V....

This is a cover though, the original is by Gladys Knight and the Pips.

I only discovered The Flirtations relatively recently, since they were a great favorite of the late radio broadcaster, Art Bell, who used their GREAT rendition of "Nothing But a Heartache" often for bumper music. They were /are fantastic and should have been a much bigger success!!!

    Crap video

  31. N.... ....

@ziggybin This was filmed in Bath, the beginning of the VT shows the name board for Bath Abbey.

  32. D.... D....

Yes, it's Bath Abbey, and I can just about make out the name in the sign in the opening shot. Just some other west country 70s pop film locations are Oh What A Circus by David Essex (1978)filmed in Clifton Catholic Cathedral in Bristol & Love Grows by Edison Lighthouse (1970) filmed on the steps of the Victoria Rooms, also in Clifton, Bristol. They're both on You tube.

  33. r.... ....

Wow! They were sexy looking ladies.

  34. B.... G....

What a find... I'm sure that's Bath abbey in the background - being a west country boy I notice these things

  35. s.... ....

    Thanks !
    Beautifull Song ......

  36. l.... ....

BTW, I have the Sounds Like CD from Marginal Records...oddly it included "Hold On To Me Babe" and "Love A Little Longer" but not this and "Little Darling," or "Why Didn't I Think Of That" and "Oh Mias Bamba."

  37. W.... ....

Thanks - there's another Flirtations clip on the way!

  38. s.... ....

    Very nice!
