After hearing Aspects and then Moving On, couldn't wait to get the album. He hasn't disappointed. Mayfly and White Horses among others are taking Mr Weller back to where he is at his best. This has got to be rated as one of his best solo albums.and I have them all.
I love his acoustic stuff. Think it's what he does best. Always loved the songs, English Rose and Fly on All Mod Cons and That's Entertainment, Riverbank, Liza Radley etc. who can forget the sublime Spring, Summer, Autumn and Bloodsports, Whole Point... from the Council days. Like his electric songs too but this is what he does the best. Cheers Paulo, yet another gem to brighten this drab and colourless world.

Weller does it again .just listened to true meanings in its entirety.this is right up there with Stanley road.all mod cons and sound affects as regaurds top class albums.feet up and drink this album in. Love 💕 to all.
@ron Webster this album is contrite shite. Weller lost his spark a long time ago. But as he said it pays the mortgages & divorce settlements. Maybe next he'll make a swing album with Adele! Chris Parry heard the demos of tracks Weller wrote for the upcoming 3rd Jam album & told him they were shit. Then All Mod Cons appeared. Someone needs to tell him again...

@Jack D'Ripa No music is 'crap'. It's all about personal taste and opinion, and obviously this album sounds like it's not your cup of tea at all, and that's fine. Others will undoubtedly find this different tack very pleasing, as I do. Yes, it's not 'All Mod Cons' or 'Stanley Road', it's a completely different album, but I think that comments from others here express their like for this one, and may just become a frequent visitor to the turntable, as per Weller's other best works.
