Mark Stewart--he plays multiple instruments in Simon's band, some of which he invented himself and which have turned up on Simon's studio recordings. He's a native of Appleton, Wisconsin and has been playing with Paul for somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 years.

Love the song, but it is very reminiscent of Under African Skies. Regardless; a great song
At first I couldn't detect any resemblance between this and "Under African Skies," and then I realized that there's a similar chord progression, plus the choruses start with the same three notes.
