Saw this being performed live at the Isle of Wight in 2010 (I think). Absolutely glorious. Been a Beatles fan all my life and that was the first time I'd seen McCartney live. To my shame that was actually the first time I'd heard the song, but what a way to hear it. I didn't even like Obama much, but personally, I think this is the best thing McCartney has written since 'Hey Jude'

the unfortunate thing being that they very likely _DID_ auto-tune his voice here. there's certainly some pitch correction going on here. just compare this vocal performance (which was released onto DVD and CD) to any of the others floating about. it's much, MUCH better.

Paul has some off days and some on days vocally. This was a particularly good day for him vocally.

McCartney took three chords, in this case F, Bb and C, and using his melodic talent, made a great song.

Just love this song! First discovered the Fireman record and how it was made after watching Paul interviewed by Howard Stern on a youtube video. By the way, is it just me or is Abe Laboriel not one of the most kick ass drummers ever? He seems to make every song just cook. In this video McCartney seems to be really getting off on his playing too.
