Same progression chord as Atlantis but I don't think he was influenced by that song. Is the same chord progression than You won't see me so I think Donovan was influenced by Paul. Those are simple major chords (I II IV). I consider as "George chords" the m7b5.

Lennon's Nobody Loves You was written after this, this was originally written in 1968 Paul just didn't record it for release until the early 90's, so if anything John's song sounds like this.

IMO most of the album is bad. The song that totally ruins it for me is Temporary Secretary. That synthesizer part is so annoying. I'm just not a fan of the album. Coming Up, Waterfalls, One Of These Days and Goodnight Tonight are the only songs I can really tolerate on the album.

I have Tug Of War. While not my favorite of his solo records, it is up there.

I couldn't disagree with you more. Of the McCartney albums I own (Everything after Give my regards to broad street), McCartney, McCartney II and BOTR, Temporary Secretary is my least favorite song. I'm not a fan of much on McCartney II, in fact my favorite song on there is a song only put on the CD releases... "Goodnight Tonight."

V R I get finding it annoying but I don’t think it’s bad. And, IMO, most people who dislike McCartney II tend to think “80s synth = cheesy” therefore any like that sucks.

BPanio , I find temporary sec experimental and synth pop of eighties, yet done in 79-80...some of Macca 2 was like deep house and he rigged up rented synthethizer in his house and did album on analog, recorded some in bathroom for better sound....experimental Macca album.

Christopher A. , then when he released it was NOT out of style but forward looking.....though like some seventies prog rock or guitar solos on entire side on an album, now sound dated.
