Patsy Cline - Always Lyrics

Always, always
Always

I'll be loving you, always
With a love that's true, always
When the things you plan
Need a helping hand
I will understand, always, always

Days may not be fair, always
That's when I'll be there, always
Not for just an hour
Not for just a day
Not for just a year, but always

Days may not be fair, always
That's when I'll be there, always
Not for just an hour
Not for just a day
And, not for just a year, but always

Patsy had the greatest voice in all the world. My mother just adored her. Now my mom has Alzheimers and can't talk much anymore but when I play Pasty's songs mom sings word for word all her songs. I t makes me cry. Patsy is still magical.

  31. D.... N....

We danced to this song at our wedding reception in 1963.

  32. p.... r....

There are other recordings (at least one) of "Always" by Patsy; but this one is the best. I'm sure I. Berlin would have had high praise for her wonderful delivery, and I agree with the uploaders comment -- this is among Patsy's very best recordings, which is saying a LOT! 9/2018

    Best female singer ever

  40. M.... ....

What a dark day for the world when that plane crash occurred, taking the life of one of the finest singers in the world, in her very prime. At least we still have the sound of that incredibly beautiful voice preserved forever - until the Lord ends this world.

    M.... ....

Cause of crash, pilot inexperience. What an awful shame. -CLEVELAND ROCKER.

  41. p.... r....

More proof that Patsy could sing just about any song she chose to. Such a luminary whose music lives on and on and on... 2/2018

  42. P.... B....

Her producer Owen Bradley recognized her talent from day one and gave her the best accompaniment and backed her with the Jordanaires (who backed Elvis) even before she was a big success and then he let her sing non country ballads like this that will last for eternity. That is why he too
is in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

  43. s.... h....

My father loved Patsy Cline...his favorites were "Sweet Dreams of You" and "I Fall to Pieces"...I do know if he was aware of Patsy's rendition of this song (I never heard him mention it) but he would have loved it...RIP Dad and Patsy...this world has an emptiness without both of you.

  57. J.... ....

Patsy Cline and Billy Corgan are the best two to ever sing this song.

  58. c.... k....

Love this version of Patsy's song my (1 year old grandma introduced me to I sing it sometimes. was their a karaoke released of this ?

  59. G.... J....

Glenn Johnson Just played the vinyl album downstairs and the musical backing is completely different to the version here. This must be one of the re-mixed tracks with newer orchestration. However, still great but i find a little too much.I think the "original" is better in some respects as the backing relies on "less is more"which in fact enhances Patsy` voice.Apart from the technical comment,it still shows what a beautiful and emotional voice she had.I lost my Mother in 2008,wife in 2010 and last year,my father! This song says it all!Powerful! Thank you for uploading all this wonderful music.

  60. N.... L....

I love patsy cline I sing her songs time to time, she maybe gone but never forgotten, she left a great legacy of music behind and that's wonderful not all treasures are silver and gold lots of love patsy Natalie Leon f om pomona ca.

  61. V.... L....

I just came across this song Pasty Cline was singing "Always" and discovered it was the very same tune on a little Music Box my Father bought me for my Birthday when I was a little girl, it made me start crying and it was like a message from Heaven to me from him making me remember that Music Box and I always wondered where the song came from, now I know, it is so beautiful

  62. p.... a....

I found that my great grandpa wrote this song..He gave it to a producer by the name of leslie something.. He sold his rights to this song and never received anything for this.. Although im sure he is just as happy in heven knowing this song has comfort and brought many memories for lived ones he has received more then he ever exspected....

    p.... a....

The music industry is notorious for stealing music. My grandmother sent all my mother’s written songs and sheet music to a music company and never heard back. She wasn’t wise enough to keep copies or have a lawyer.

  76. D.... K....

Love this song!!!! Patsy Cline's version is the best..

  77. V.... W....

    only Patsy can sing it.

  78. S.... ....

People must ask themselves where have all the great singers gone, they are just not there anymore and all singers of today just all sound the same, is it a social thing, genetics or what? This song could not be performed with such class by any singer of today, they just cannot deliver!

    S.... ....

Don't agree, there are plenty of good singers around, but the studios want 'star' hey can milk and throw away after a few years. If you listen to Miley Cyrus away from her mainstream pop she has a beautiful deep rich voice, as one example. BUt of course the musical styles are different now, each generation chooses its own way to express itself.

    S.... ....

Spectric, it's called the coarsening of a culture through the influence of another culture. Romance has been debased and denigrated as something that is old fashioned and obsolete....All of country music has gone in that direction.....Will be interesting to see if the pendulum ever swings back.....but I doubt in my lifetime :)

  79. S.... P....

my Grandma passed away today. She introduced me to Patsy Cline's music so many years ago. I attribute my love to Patsy & Classic Country to her. This one's for you, Grandma! Love you always!

When God created Patsy Cline, and her voice, he really laid out all his best tools. She can sing most anyone's song and make it sound better.

  83. L.... M....

    Timeless...

  84. d.... o....

The sad part is this s beautiful song would never fly today.

    d.... o....

Unless it's about big butts and big dicks it won't fly today. So basically, every song from the dawn of recorded music until the early 2000s wouldn't fly today.

    d.... o....

    Very sad, but very true.

    d.... o....

    This isn't even true lol

    d.... o....

If Ariana Grande sings it dressed like a hooker the world might listen...🤦

  94. s.... H....

when my mother passed away I was devastated and then this song came and I ended up sobbing while I was listening because I knew it was my mother saying I am with her in spirit and love you always..i think of it as a sign from her that no matter what she will always be with me..the anniversary of her death is coming up and my birthday which is the 12th of sept is the last time I heard from her..i had to get therapy to get me through the devastation of her death..we were never that close she was an alcoholic and she let the drink take her ..she was a beautiful women with peiceing blue eyes I have ever seen..that I could never forget..and she could of been a model she was that beautiful and smart as a wip but very stern and suffered from depression and a sever bi polor disorder..but no matter what I tried to be their for her as much as I could..and I tried to get her to stop drinking but she wouldn't..she ended up getting a bad stoke before she died and got dementia really bad and it kind won in my favor because I could talk to her all day and she wouldn't drink around me..i remember her last birthday which was aug 2nd I told her swimming she loved to swim..we had a great time..and loved every moment of it..how was I to know that be the last time I get to swim with my mother?  the first week of September she was trying to walk and kept telling me she was sore from walking and she didn't walk much she sat on a couch all day..and I told her honey when you don't move around much it will hurt..She said she was sorry for all she had done to me and my brother amd being such a irresponsible mother.she use to beat us really bad and verbally abuse us and sometimes not feed us or let us take showers..but god turned me into a Christian in my teenager years and I forgave her..i told her that before she died..she gave me this confused look like she didn't understand then she said I want you to have something..i want you to have my little bible..her husband wasn't nice he was a drunk himself and would throw all her stuff away so she hid it.. I hated my step father very much he was so bad with her..when she died..we had a viewing and I just wanted to shake her and scream god please wake up..but then god asked me would you want her here to continute suffering with her bad addiction or would you rather have her here with me where she in peace and not battlng the demons of her addiction? I said of course I want her with you..and so then after she passed she was coming back to me..in dreams saying her last goodbyes..i remember this one dream we were in my old house I grew up at and she was sitting on the bed in her old master bedroom, and she smiled when I walked in..i said mom what are you doing? she said just taking this room all in..wont be here anymore after this..i told her I was going to mss her..she said everything is going to be ok don't you worry with a big smile on her face..and then I woke up..I sobbed because I think she was saying her final good bye to me..then this song came on .and it was so hard to believe she was gone but then again happy she no longer had to suffer the pain.

    s.... H....

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I too am very close with my mother so I can only imagine how much it felt like you lost a piece of your heart. I believe she sent you this song as a reminder that she is never far, always by your side. Look for her in the little moments. You will be reunited with her one day and it'll be more beautiful than you can imagine. <3

    s.... H....

Incredibly touching story, Sparrow. I have one similar about this song, but as unique as our stories may be, the message of this song is pure love, our most precious gift from God! For us to realize this and feel it so passionately in our lifetime is just a glimpse of what heaven will be like for us all. Irving Berlin and Patsy Cline collaborating to inspire these feelings in as many as will look for it must truly be the reason for our existence.
If music as an art is inspirational, we've certainly been blessed in our generation above all others, but in MY experience this song is truly transcendent, as it surely must be to you. Always keep sight of your higher purpose, especially on your anniversaries. You're never truly alone. Our gifts are ours to share with others for encouragement. Thanks for sharing your story for mine.

    s.... H....

    @Sparrow Helm
I just read your very touching story. I cried through the entire thing. My mom passed away when I was 7 yrs old so I never got the opportunity to really know her. I only remember a couple of random memories of her. My childhood story is also similar to yours but thank God I can't remember it. I too got saved at a young age...12 yrs old l... & God has helped me through so much pain in my life.

I don't know what it's like to have a mom. That's a love I'll never get the chance to experience. But God's love for me has never let me down. He has always been there for me & I know He has a plan for my life.

May God bless you & keep you.
    Be well.

    s.... H....

I'm very sorry about your loss!
