Partridge Family, The - Money Money Lyrics
Money, money,
I wish I had some
I'd spend it on you, babe
Cause your really somethin'
Even though I don't have a lot
Money money
Money money
Money money
I just don't have none
But you're the kind of girl that
Makes me want to get some
So I can go where I've never seen myself
And you've never been
Money money
I've got get myself up, out of bed
Get some work today
If I'm ever going to keep a girl like you around
Got nine to five all week long
Till I get some take home pay
Cause everybody knows
That you like your fancy clothes
And that's where my money goes
Money money
Money money
Money money
I've got to have it
And if I get the chance again
You know I'm gonna to grab it
I got to make some money today
If I want you to stay
Money money
Money money
Money money

david and shirley best singers!!
he was the best in his day!!
LOVED ALL THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY SONGS THEY ARE THE GREATEST EVER LOVED THEM ALL.
i always knew david and shirley were banging eachother during the commercials...they always gave eachother that special look.
No one will ever be as a beautiful and talented as David Cassidy ❤️
If they didn't cast David Cassidy, the show would have been canceled after the first year.
Tell me someone, what were the looks between them all about?
Battle of the sexes fight. She wanted her friend, who’s a girl, to be able to join the boys’ basketball team.
@Gail Collier Thank you
Not as simple as that. You need to watch the whole episode.
Susan Dey, lucky cow, getting to stare into those eyes 🤣
He looked like he was having more fun here, I guess because this song is more rock than pop.
This is probably my favorite song of The Partridge Family. ( David Cassidy)
ALWAYS LOVED THAT SONG
I think this is one of his most sensual songs just tone in his voice and of course looks .Talent and a nice person what better combination is there . See ya in the next life . Xo
This is one of my favourite songs of David. It is on the a-side of an single (released in Germany) and I spend hours listening to it. What a great voice... so smooth and erotical..
Susan Dey was actually playing the chords for it ...or along with it I should say.... still though she was doing it
OMG !! his cute face and love his long hair, i am 58 ans and i think i will never get enough of David .......feel like still in the 70''
Laurie is bratty to keith like when keith was running for school president she was giving him grief like at dinner she said oh not enough spaghetti I did not like that, & when laurie said to keith all your good at is playing the guitar I could tell that Keith did not like that at all & who would blame him laurie was being bratty?!
What a better time in life that was
The Ray Connif Beatles. The Partridge Family. Heck, The Beatles were very studio musicians.
gorgeous David as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're back on TV Monday through Friday on antenna network that's Channel 15.2 in Arizona. So if you got a old school antenna hook your TV up to it I get 93 channels out here for free
There were a few times there I didn't like laurie I mean she was sometimes bratty to keith & she thinks she knew everything
Amanda Hunnicutt I I have to agree with you on that she always thought her causes were more important
Shelley Strickland I don’t care she’s was bratty
Amanda, I think you're reading far too much into it. Laurie saw it as her duty to try and 'educate' Keith that women are after more than a 'good time, clothes and jewells'. She was a modern woman yet deep down, she and Keith were good mates. They were the eldest of the kids with three youngsters to mind and no father. But Keith was far more frivolous than Laurie yet she rarely held that against him, and then only for a few minutes.
Who's playing that killer flute track?
All their recordings had professional backing singers & musicians. Even David didn't play guitar on recordings.
I also love love love love love love rock me baby he sure rocks my world you Rock Me Everyday David
David Cassidy is an eternal hero in my life the most gorgeous genius I could never comprehend love them love them love them anybody loves him is a genius as well he represents Talent at a tightened comprehension I saw him in concert he stole my heart then as a child and he still has it God Rest his soul genius genius
That hair, that face, that voice. Crazy sexy!
This is the only episode I remember from the series. It was my first time hearing about feminism. Had a serious crush on Laurie, and seeing this brings it all back. Ahh, the 70's!
Check out episode # 7 or #8, it has a feminism theme as well, and it features their first hit, "I think I love you".
David’s very sensual interpretation of this song is wonderful and dreamy ! He was the best. Thanks for sharing this .
:) :) was that a bit of a dig at Susan :)
susan doesn't look happy in this one..she spends too much money lol
Watch the whole episode and you'll understand why. (and why she became such a good actress - she'd had no experience when she got the part and just learnt it all on the job.)
Go straight to 1:32! ~sigh~
that hair!!
the looks are funny
Why was this not released as a single??
Pure talent, sad he said he was frustrated by not being “cool” like his favourite musicians. “I’m not that guy.”He always said. I like his song at the end of his Russell Harty interview. He’s being soulful and on his terms. I miss him. RIP DBC
Wasn't he awesome! Well I always loved the Partridge Family records and his voice, but I loved the stuff he did after the Partridge Family too. Must have been difficult to be an artist and told what you had to sing and how to sing it and how to act and have no say or no control.
I remember listening to some old Michael Jackson interviews and he had the same problems with Motown as a 10 -18 year old till he and his family left Motown and went to their new label. And when he joined up with Quincy Jones the rest was history when they made "Off The Wall" and "Thriller." I so wished David could have had a comeback on that level....many times through the years I had thought of David Cassidy while watching MTV etc. and wishing he could have had an album on the level of "Thriller" or any number of albums that reach that level....
Occasionally I would see his "I Think I Love You" video played on VH1 and it was kind of sad he did not have some really fantastic new video shown on those music tv channels....:(
susan dey was so gorgeous.
RIP David. You were one of a kind. Thank you for all the music you brought into my life. By the way, why does it look like Susan Dey is really playing in the beginning of this video?
It only took her 4 years to learn! haha She was really bad in the beginning and even stated on a talk show the producers were so cheap that, when she asked for lessons, they sent her a cardboard cutout of a keyboard!
She may have been playing. It’s obvious Chris and Tracy. David even said he heard Chris practicing the drums. He also became very good.
Because she is playing. She learnt. But I think the studio just had a policy of not using any of them except David and occasionally Shirley.
where did the 500million go? what did he spen it on?? Oh well doesn't matter, we still love you David you're the best.R.I.P.
He never got $500 million from the PF marketing....he only got around $15,000.
oh David you are the cutest and your voice just cut it, and no one else sounds like you do. I slept with your posters and records you are my idol !! <3 Lana
Ruhe in Frieden bin schockiert und unendlich traurig 😴😒😢😢😢😢❤️
Good Bye David ❤❤❤❤ R. I. P.💗💗💗💗💗
It's never goodbye. He's in all those who love him.
Weren't Kieth and Laurie fighting in this episode? And if so, what was it about?
Keith was making fun of Laurie because she was upet about her friend Frankie being rejected from the basketball team because she was a woman.
Watch the episode. Laurie is campaigning for women's rights whereas Keith thinks women only want clothes and jewells. Laurie's speech at the end is brilliant - puts the blokes right in their place. A really good actress in the making.
Sudan's Dey look lol
I look exactly like Tracy and I am as tall as her!
Until I heard this song I always thought that the Partridge Family was kiddy pop
Amazing they learn a new song and the first time out they're able to play the whole thing in a single take. I played in a school band a long time ago and we would be lucky to go through a single bar without the conductor/instructor interrupting us.
I missed this episode, but watching this I had three thoughts: 1) Laurie was obviously pissed at Keith in this episode; 2) this song was approaching the sort of stuff David liked to listen to -- must have been a nice change; and 3) look how long his hair got!
Did anyone else collect their bubblegum cards?!!
yes i did, and when i was little , we lived next to a drug store , LOL had tons of them <3
Lunch Box😄
Who's playing the flute? LOL!
My money's on Rueben in the driveway, or just off camera.
The Wrecking Crew.
David and Shirley were the only ones that actually sang & played there was a background band. I guess you could say that the Partridge Family, was the milly vanilly Lol. David, was the only reason to watch this show.
Don't forget it was a studio band behind them to make they're song sounded fuller
they should have had Tracy do it ..she seems old enough to figure it out LOL
Women's Lib has many Lesbians .
Crank it UP! I've got my Soundblaster Card processing that lip-synced monoral ABC TV audio linked to my 70s Toshiba SA-320 Amplifier & 2 foot tall Sony Speakers!
Keith's necklace is made of those candy things!
@7beers No Honey Puka Shells are not to eat. These Shells are from the ocean especially when it comes to Hawaii.
I also wore puka shells in the '70s for several years. Everyone did!
No, candy. They are candy!
Have it your way, even if your way is wrong, you wrong, unfunny troll.
Shit just got real!
good song but they couldve at least made the background singers sound like women and kids singing! it just sounds like men singing. and by the way whos playing the flute?
Yes, who indeed? Also in other PF songs who is on horns, woodwinds, strings, etc?
"Money Money!" Love it! ~ the song! :-) The PF show was fun to watch. Laurie in the episode is upset over the song - typical guy thing to buy love or to impress a girl with, she is into equal rights for women. David Cassidy looks and sounds Fantastic! The PF songs start off with great sounds and great music! <3
You can see from my posts that I'm a fan of the music from this show. That includes this song (which I may try someday too). I saw some discussion here about "Laurie" not smiling. Out of context it's interesting to watch. If you watch the episode, "Keith" has just written this song, and they're playing it through for the first time. Laurie objects to the message of the song, and is just dutifully singing and playing her part. When they're done with their run-through, Laurie raises her objection to the song's use of the money-hungry girlfriend stereotype, and Keith counters that the guy in the song just wants to be able to buy his girlfriend nice things.
I think it was really neat how they interwove backstage music stuff like this into their story-lines.
Well, yes. . .that is obvious, and exactly what one would expect from any female forced to take part in that song, just as though she agreed with it!
+DrQuizzler She has nothing to object to. That's how women are.
Plus, it was the episode where Laurie was mad because her friend Frankie got rejected from the basketball team because she was a girl and then Laurie ran for homecoming queen just for a platform and Keith and Danny enter a boy named Jerry into the contest.
How funny is it in the beginning of the episode when Laurie tells Keith she's sleeping over Frankie's house for the weekend and Keith freaks because he assumes that Frankie the basketball player is guy. Keith: I don't get this Laurie, you've never done anything like this before." Laurie, "How would you know." Did the Brady Bunch ever go there? LOL! I don't think so.
Love this song!!
Oh yes any song david sing is so sexy in the way he move i fan since day one R.I.P my friend
Love Susan's haircut. David's is just a bit too long at this point but hey, that was the 70s!
Many professional male musicians today have very long hair!
Ohh love his long hair
Without his undoubtedly musical talent this show would not have been half as Good. This song proves that, you see it in his every move and his attitude. On top of that he was absolutely drop down gorgeous.
money money money money bloody good song
Funny how the neighbors never complained about the noise
+stg5ive -- Real Life SHTF They gave them free tickets to appease them, and Keith took them out to dinner.
Their was an episode when a neighbour complained about the noise Little Rickey 's Mother.
they did watch the first episode of s4
If this had happened in 2018 they would be yelling.
@johnny rock I know it was a tv show but, I had a neighbor who was like that too, like when ricky's mom called the police on them cause of the music, the neighbor I had called the police everytime we move around, My neighbor was awful
How do I not know this song? Is it on any of the albums?
+Carmela Scalzo Bulletin Board-their last album from late 1973.
David's hair is great here and his voice showed his musical range. The sexist man who ever lived! That statement is not open for debate.
Agreed David, was always so hot
No need to debate no ever has or ever will come close to how beautiful and sexy he was xx
@Paula Boisvert I agree I like when he was in his younger days
Absolutley he was the sexiest guy for alot of his life and even into his 50,s was spunky ..beautiful eyes and smile...so talented ,so missed and never forgotten xo
where's Mr Kincade?
Out with Bonnie Kleinschmidt.
Love this song!!!
Love this song, its so funny.
I love this song and Keith's look at the end!!!!!
True, Susan was and is a troubled individual, however in this particular episode Laurie was pissed because of the song lyrics. Being a teenage women's libber, she was offended that the boy in the song felt the pressure to make money just so that he could buy things to keep his girl.
G G it's just a song Laurie get over it
@Shelley Strickland like I said before there were times that I didn't like laurie cause the way she was picking on keith & there were those couple of times the school president episode when he was running against another person and she said to him to make him angry all your good at is playing guitar she was putting him down & I could tell Keith was pissed off & he was angry & didn't like it & who could blame him
i dont know how one man could be so sexy danm just love this song
Who is Lily Allen?
David Cassidy is soooo cute in this vid love the partridge family <3 :D
GREAT SINGER.....ACTS GREAT AS WELL.
Man, does David sound sexy in this song. It's one of my PF faves!
Check out Susan Dey at 0.39 . . she looks like Lily Allen !
Laurie is royally PO'd at Keith during this episode. That's why she's scowling at him.
david cassidy
laurie is always mad about something unless she gets something she wants
She's probably not smilin' because of the possible story line of that particular show.
look at davids hair fuck its long
but he has one of the greatest voices that i've ever heard
