The Partridges are great (grew up in the 70's with them), and this song has a true funky arrangement, catchy as all Heck. But I have to say it is odd seeing happy, smiley kids bopping along to some very adult lyrics! Were they Lookin' For A Good Time... at a Fun Birthday Party?
Between 1970 and 1971 my family moved from one home to another. This was one of the shows I carried over with that. I like Cassidy's "Jim Morrison" take during the musical break, and Shirley Jones is quite alluring.

The music industry is cut throat. Hollywood is cut throat. Don't feel badly though, as cruel as the industry is, David Cassidy heard a lot of beautiful and wonderful things from the public wherever he went, and he was very appreciative and touched by it over the years. He felt very blessed. Wherever he went, people would stop him and say, "can I just tell you how much you meant to me growing up, or how much you inspired me." He heard it all the time which was really nice.
