It's a beautiful place to visit. Nice part of Texas, but not much there unless your a farmer or outdoors type.

Based on your description sounds like the perfect place.

For some people, Stephenville is a paradise.  My family settled in Texas very near there about 160 years ago.  So I guess they liked it.  lol  It's a little rustic for my taste.  What do I know.

Red dirt is mostly in East Texas, but there's some near Austin. Very high clay and iron content.

Ol Kyle as much light as he deserves love him and his music when I was stationed in a different state (I'm from Texas) no one knew country and Texas country at that and when days were hard and I was missing home if listen to this or Fit For a King and it felt like home love it!!!

@Brian Wilson, dude, You are in New Jersey. That says it all. I lived in New Braunfels, TX forever, and now live in Albuquerque, and outside of Texas, all the "country" stations play crap "pop" country. I miss going to Gruene Hall, the River Road Iced House, the Tavern on the Gruene, Rileys Tavern, Cheatem Street Warehouse, and all that. Only in Texas do you get real country music now.
