I love how you can hear the influence this had on Shades of God. The idiosyncratic solos, odd chord progressions and riffs that moved in between doom metal, hard rock and gothic rock. Many people would cite Black Sabbath as the instant influence for the shift PL made on Shades of God, but as the band have proven throughout their career, their influences were very diverse. And naturally, they nailed this cover.

Not really familiar with this band, seems to me they play a style of doom metal? Either way this isn't a bad cover.

Yes they do it's called Gothic-Doom Metal

I'm old enough to have bought the Atomic Rooster version when it came out and bought this album when it came out. This is a smart cover.

Nothing new only down a tone to the guitar new distortion and some little bit gutural , what a lack of inspiration

Better version tan Atomic Rooster!

I cut my teeth on the Atomic Rooster version, but every change is an improvement. Whoever wrote the song would approve!
